Great Dog Car Seat
Great dog car seat for my aussie. The material and structure of the car seat is great.It doesn’t take up a lot of space in the back seat of my sedan and leaves ample room for my son and his booster seat to fit comfortably and for our aussie to ride comfortably in the dog car seat.

This is just what I needed. It allowed for each of my two 70 pund dogs to have their own spot in the back seat during a long drive. My dog was was able to sit and lay comfortably in the seat throughout the drive while the other had his own space.

While I would buy this again, I only gave 4 stars because of assemblyInstructions. For those who struggle, the rods go in the slit behind the upper Velcro!

If you have a medium or large dog and have struggled with flimsy car seats in the past, this is exactly what you need. For the price, the quality of this car seat is outstanding. It feels incredibly durable and well-engineered, living up to every claim made in the product description.The standout feature for me is the extended hard base. Unlike standard hammocks that can sag or feel unstable, the reinforced panels in this seat provide a rock-solid foundation. It effectively turns the back seat into a flat, sturdy platform, which gives my dog a lot more confidence and room to stretch out. The addition of the egg-crate foam is a thoughtful touch, providing a level of comfort that you don’t usually find in these types of protectors.Assembly was refreshingly easy. The straps for the headrests and the side leashes are intuitive and hold everything securely in place. I also really appreciate the three-sided mesh windows. They allow for great airflow, so I don’t have to worry about my pup getting too warm, and it lets them see out, which definitely helps with car anxiety.The material quality is top-notch as well. Smatto Dog Car Seat for Large to Medium Dogs is great quality.It came with easy to follow step by step instructions.It wasn’t easy to put together for an older person but it is doable. It took me about 30 minutes from start to finish.It does take up at least 2 full seats in the back seat of your vehicle.It is roomy for a big dog and a hotel suite for two small dogs.The mesh screen on both sides provides a way for your pet to get air circulation and a view if they are laying down, giving them a perfect seat to be with the ones they love.It’s great for long road trips or to the vet or dog park.It is very durable and secure. There are several anchor points to attach to the main body of the car, like you would a children’s car seat. Because of its size and needing to be anchored be prepared for the dog car seat to be a permanent fixture in your vehicle. It is not something that you can take in and out easily.The material is quality and stylish. It will not rip, I believe it will last for years.The Smatto Dog Car Seat is a wonderful product to keep your dog or cat, bunny, goat secure, comfortable and happy while in your vehicle.It is worth your money, time and the permanent space needed in your vehicle.

Roomy & Comfortable Dog’s Car Seat
This is a well-made, fairly priced dog seat that adds valuable extra room for a dog to comfortably lie down in the back seat.Assembly:Setup is straightforward and took me about 10 minutes. It includes support bars that insert into the sides and base, after which you zip everything up, attach the safety tether, secure the seat anchor, and place the adjustable straps over the headrests. The zippers seem sturdier than most I’ve used, though I’d still recommend being gentle with them, as zipper failure would make the seat unusable.Bench seat vs. captain’s chairs:If you have a bench seat, this is a no-brainer. It fits well, feels sturdy, and provides the seat extension I was looking for. You can install it centered or on either side.With captain’s chairs (which my SUV has), installation works best behind either the driver or passenger seat. Instead of splitting the straps between two front seats, both front straps attach to the same headrest, and the same applies in the back. It still works well, just requires a slightly different setup.Other considerations:For longer drives, I may add pillows or a cooler underneath the front portion for extra support. I like the mesh sides for visibility, the material is easy to wipe clean, and when not in use, the seat folds down flat for storage by unzipping the sides.

Highly recommend this car seat!
This dog car seat is just what I was looking for! It fits nicely in the backseat of my car. We installed it beside our granddaughter’s car seat and had plenty of room. It’s behind the driver’s seat and we still have lots of room to adjust the driver seat for my husband to drive comfortably. The straps on the headrest are adjustable, so you adjust them for whoever is driving.Our grand-dog couldn’t wait to try it out. She jumped in it while we were assembling it in our kitchen. It’s roomy enough for her to lie down even if we use the seatbelt strap. It makes traveling with her much safer and still provides comfort for her.The material is very durable. All the parts are well-made and it was very easy to assemble and place in my car. It’s very functional and will be easy to clean. I highly recommend this dog car seat!
