Dog loves it passionately. However. . .
UPDATE — Well, it’s 2022, and Bogey the Boxador STILL loves his bed. After 20 washings, the fur gets matted and less fluffy, but it’s still very soft and comfortable. We bought a second bed, so we always have one available while we clean the other one.Suggestion: put the bed together before your dog sees it. We have a 60-lb Boxador (Boxer/Labrador). As soon as I opened the box and started pulling out the shaggy cover, he walked over, grabbed it, and lay down on it. That’s a good review!_________________CARE TIP #1: the foam inserts are extremely compressed in vacuum-packed bags. They need a LOT of fluffing to expand and regain their squishiness. I shook, pummeled and fluffed for over 20 minutes, and the circular ‘donut hole’ cushion and cylindrical outer bolster expanded to at least four times their compressed size. You might put them in the dryer, but be careful to ONLY use AIR DRY, never use ANY heat, and make sure there are NO holes in the casing!Putting the donut together is easy; I just stuff the cylindrical outer bolster into the long zipper pocket, while zipping it up, like stuffing sausage into a casing. It is best to do this with the donut upside-down. The bottom fabric creates a “floor” below the donut hole, and that fabric should be on top when you zip. The zipper works smoothly, but you need to keep it from snagging the fabric of the bolster.When you finish zipping and flip it over, you’ll have a nice big donut with a fabric “floor” in the bottom of the hole. The fabric “floor” must be resting on your floor.The central cushion will be even easier, since it just slides into its case like a throw pillow. Zip it up, and there you are! When you put the center cushion into the donut, push the cushion down, and pull up the bolster sides all the way around.CARE TIP #2: You will be happier if you wash the cover every 1-2 weeks. That way, you only need to wash the inserts if absolutely necessary. Wash the outer covers separately from the inserts, and separately from any other laundry. Use mild, fragrance-free laundry detergent on gentle cycle, cold water, with an extra rinse. No fabric softener. Your dog will NOT like the smell of laundry perfumes. If the covers have become stinky, add a half cup of white vinegar at the beginning of the cycle. If you can still smell detergent or vinegar at the end, do another short, gentle wash/rinse with just water.CARE TIP #3: if you must wash the insert cushions, be aware that the fabric casing is VERY fragile. It may tear even on a delicate wash cycle, and leave foam or fiber in the washing machine.CARE TIP #4. Dry the covers separately from the cushions. Dry all parts of the bed on AIR DRY only. I tried drying one cushion insert on extra low, but it was still too warm! The thin casing started to melt and holes appeared, leaving piles of foam in the machine, the lint filter, and the hose. The foam pieces even started to melt into hard pellets!CARE TIP #5: DO NOT use fabric softeners, dryer sheets, fragrance sheets, or essential oils. Your dog may dislike or be allergic to perfumes, to the point of having difficulty breathing. Even so-called “fragrance-free” products have lots of perfume. Just take a sniff. If YOU can smell it, imagine how strong it smells to your dog!_________________Our dog is very attached to this bed, and LOVES to sleep and lounge in it. He finds it very cozy in the winter, but when the sun shines in the window all afternoon, or if the weather is warm, the bed actually may be too warm. We have a thinner, fabric-covered cushion for a trampoline style bed in warmer weather.

It comes beautifully packaged and for you to assemble which I am personally a huge fan of, because it means they are proud of the components that go into making this bed.As you assemble you can feel it is made of high quality memory foam.I’ve always wanted something from barkbox and this bed is so comfy and spectacular. I’m small enough that my Aussie and I can both fit and cuddle on the large bed.Also I accidentally ordered the sand, so I reordered but with the grey skin and I have to say the sand fur looks and feels like Sherpa fuzz!My dog is an older dog now 8yrs old and I want him to be comfortable so I bought the best of the best. Everything about the packaging and materials just screamed high quality and I was so happy to have machine washable covers for him finally.UPDATE:I have had this bed now for a couple weeks, I ended up ordering the grey version of the bed and was so impressed with the fur. I can vacuum it easily and it was very easy to put together. I’t doesn’t attract hair like other cheaper beds, and it stays nice and fluffy every time.My dog still doesn’t understand it is for him, so the cat (and I) have been taking turns on it for now.Here is a picture of the Large Round Grey bed – sitting on my queen size bed for scale.

Excellent donut bed
This bed is GREAT! I can’t tell you how much time I spent searching for bed of this style for large dogs with a removable cover that was under $100 before I found this. I am so glad that I did. It has exceeded my expectations and has made my dog and I both super happy!When I took it out of the box, I was skeptical that it would plump up because of how thin it seemed. Out of the packaging, the memory foam quickly expanded and the bed became very plush and comfortable. The faux fur is SO soft, and since my dog sometimes chews toys in his bed, I love that the covers are removable. I also love that it is a really beautiful bed and fits right in with my decor.My pup is tough on his beds (he sometimes chews on them or thrashers them around), but this has stood up well so far and feels high-quality, so I’m optimistic that it will last awhile.I do hope that they eventually make these in a bigger size—my 75 pound pitbull loves his bed and is very comfortable in it curled up, but he moves to a different spot when he wants to spread out (as his feet would be hanging off of the bed if he didn’t). Just something to keep in mind if you have a larger dog.Overall, I am really impressed with this bed and I definitely recommend it!

Love at first plop!
It’s only been a few days but my pup is obsessed with her new bed! This is perfect as the weather cools down. She hoards her toys in it and curls around them like a dragon with treasure. The little squeaky stuffed green “pea” ball was a hit but quickly destroyed. It was very easy to set up. The parts were vacuum sealed and came in a small package. Everything fluffed up relatively quickly. I did spend some time breaking up all the foam pieces right out the bag. They were all stuck together from being vacuum sealed. I think breaking them up helped it fluff up faster. I put it together within an hour of opening it. It fluffed up more throughout the night and is nicely padded. I haven’t tried to clean it yet. The pillows were easy to put into the cover despite having zero stretch. The zipper opens almost all the way around the side and the center circle zipper opens about halfway. There are 2 separate cover pieces; you get 4 pieces total. The bottom of the cover has no slip dot grip. The fur doesn’t feel like real fur though. It has a more shaggy stringy feel. I was a bit disappointed, but the pup loves it. I’ll post a close up picture of the fur cover next to a faux fur milky blanket for reference later. There is an obvious difference in material.

I got the small for our cats and they loved it! One of them is a senior cat so the fact that this is orthopedic is perfect for her. There’s enough room for both of them. I love the small details too, like the darker grey underneath.

The foam chips are definitely not ‘Memory Foam’ or anything close. The material for the cushion is very thin as is the base of this bed. The zippers are very cheap and will give way. Thoroughly disappointed with this product. I bought this based on the great reviews and feel very very cheated after buying this. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
