    Perfect for what I needed
We have a big chicken coop (approx 12×12). We get below 0 and strong winds making it even colder. We put up plywood on the walls to help keep the wind out. Its 125yrs old, so its still not sealed tight. Normally it doesn’t get below 35°, but with very cold temps lately, I wanted to get my girls a heater. I hung this on their roost beam so at night the heat will rise up to them and they can huddle around it in the daytime. I checked the coops temp when we had -20° wind chill the other day. The roost was 30° and the area closest to the heater was on the ground was 42°! Very impressive for such a small heater!I was worried about the metal being hot to the touch, but its not. It gave us a bonus! My lazy, spoiled girls are laying eggs again!Ive left it on 24/7 for nearly 2 weeks now and i am very pleased with it so far. Thinking about getting another one.

    Works as advertised!
So far so good. I’m pleased that there is a decent amount of heat coming from the lamp on the low setting. Comes with plenty of chain and cords are decent length.

    Good purchase
Although only one light showed up Amazon corrected it for me. I appreciate it and thank you. The other light that we have in our chicken coop is great. It’s currently 24° where I am and that light keeps their little coupe area just right definitely worth the purchase

    Small but Powerful
This coop heater couldn’t have arrived at a better time with the crisp fall weather arriving. We have several chicken coops on my family’s farm, but currently only two of them are being used for our flocks. Last winter, it was so bitterly cold that one of our rooster’s combs actually froze off. This coop heater will ensure that this doesn’t happen again.I’ve tried using a variety of different coop heaters over the years, and most are pretty basic. They use really large heating bulbs, and I was surprised at how small these bulbs were. But let me tell you, they definitely work! This heater came with instructions and everything that I needed to get set up (see photos). At first, I thought that the heater wouldn’t be adequate, but when I turned it on, it heated extremely well (see video). One of the things that I really appreciate about this heater is the on and off button. As you can see in the video, the switch is actually covered with a thick plastic that is soft enough for me press the button. I also love how this heater has two different heating settings. In my old coop heater, there was only one setting and there was no switch; you simply plugged it on in in order for it to work. This coop heater is far superior because instead of having to literally unplug it to turn the heat off, all I have to do is turn the switch off. This makes a big difference for me because now I can just leave the heater in place instead of having to physically remove the heater when it’s not in use.I’ve seen similar coop lights that were a bit less expensive than this particular brand, about fourteen dollars less, but I haven’t used them so I can’t make a comparison. However, what I can say is that this product came with two long, thin light bulbs. It’s common for people with chickens to have to replace heater light bulbs. While I appreciate that the product includes two of them, what happens the third time you need to change a bulb? I looked on the store’s Amazon page and couldn’t find the replacement lights for sale. After searching on Amazon for some time, I finally found them (https://bit.ly/3L2Jwrf), and the price for the replacement bulbs are reasonable. I would suggest that the seller includes a link and information on the replacement bulbs in order to help customers.Overall, this is an excellent heater and one that I’ll be using regularly, not just for the chickens in winter, but also for the chicks we hatch each spring. This is an excellent product!
