These are amazing cages
I have two of these and was able to order extra parts/perches from the company. The customer service is easy to deal and the owner Jason is nice.I had some initial issues with a part that was damaged during shipping and they took care of it! I orderd another of them because these will last a lifetime.Expect fine/microscracthes, outside this is shipped and packedwell. Also expect you may need to return it due to shipping, one part had a dent but I was able to replace it.Very clean out the box but I did wash each part and assembled. You may see residue from glue, tape or the packing corners. Use barkeep friend to help remove during washing.Expect 1-2 hours between washing, drying and assembly.Pros: Everything, i mean everything is stainless stainless. Washed tested and zero rust on any part or screw.Other: the top tray for the playtop blocks more light then you would wish. Be preparred to move near lighted areas to make up for it, if needed. This is an issue for any playtop with a tray, you could remove and not use the tray as an option.Cons: May have to deal with damaged part but paitence will get it replaced/fixed/compensated.Would but again if I had more birds 10/10Thanks to Jason and Debbie for the customer service and replacement parts.

Reasonably priced for a stainless cage
We are so glad we picked this Prevue stainless steel bird cage. No directions came with it but was partly assembled so very easy to put together.

Beautiful sturdy cage
Well Made strong sturdy. on ordering i wished it would have been a bit wider , but the larger size had 1 inch spacing not safe for a medium size bird . Anyhow i knew what i was getting and the size is not bad combined with the depth it look like a good size. Anymore bigger may have been too much. it came well packaged not a scratch just a fewwelding areas as expected. Wow the shine on it is beautiful and it won’t rust easy to clean. I believe this is a winner. see pics attached decide for your self.

Great design
This cage was brilliantly engineered but the instructions were insufficient (i.e. not even indicating top and bottom of the MANY pieces). (Took me a couple of hours to assemble) The food trays will have to be replaced by shallower ones but other than that it’s a great cage that doesn’t take up too much space, clever locks and little doors that swing open with food trays make it extra easy to clean and fill food trays. Parrot took to it right away. Love that it’s stainless steel and was in my price range.

Safe but too small
This was the most affordable stainless steel cage I could find. I have a meyers parrot who chewed the powder coating off of two other cages, so he needed stainless steel for his safety. The cage is a little small for my meyers but the bar spacing would be too wide for birds much smaller. The bar spacing for this cage (medium) is 3/4 inch. I was not able to buy the large size cage because the bar spacing is 1 inch. It is safe, escape proof and was easy to assemble on my own. It also looks nice and is easy to clean. Two of the bowls are way too deep but are good for filling with paper and foraging toys. It is pretty short and low to the ground which can be a downside depending on the birds comfort. My bird isn’t always comfortable going lower than the food bowls in this cage which means a lot of wasted cage space. If you have a bird that is around the size of a meyers/Senegal and the bird gets a ton of time out, this cage is fine.

First two stainless steel cages
I ordered two of the medium cage for my brown throat conure and Indian ringneck. Both love these cages and my spazzy ringneck lets me get closer to the cage now (she was in a huge cage that she never used much of the room before). These cages are easy to assemble, I put both together by myself so as long as you stuff tools in your pocket and can hold a couple dozen pounds in the air while assembling the first couple steps you’ll be find on your own (help … will help though). One cage arrived in perfect shape, another had a dent or two and the box split open loosing a bunch of parts. The one that didn’t arrive in great shape had parts that were probably for the small/large version of the cage but luckily those parts were mostly on the top part which my ringneck won’t go to anyway. One service ticket to the vendor fixed all that so if your cage doesn’t go together properly, don’t worry, they have support state side and they’ll fix in in a week. One thing I really like about this cage is that the dishes are not really in fixed position. They give you dishes but because they just bolt up to the side you don’t have an inconvenient propitiatory mounting system that you have to tear apart if you have a bird that is messy/poops out the side near the dish. Because the cage is stainless steel it’s very light (compared to other cages) to roll outside to clean. This is the main reason why I went with these cages over my oversized iron powdered cages. I recently lost my sun conure that had metal in her stomach and it might have been my old iron powdered cage so I was not taking any chances with my other birds and ordered these cages immediately.

I had a sinking feeling when I first saw the state of the shipping box and I prepared myself to be disappointed. Well, miracles do exist! In spite of the obvious abuse of the shipping carton and of the minimal, though evidently adequate inside packaging, there were only a few minor scratches which most likely would not have prevented me from buying it had I seen it in a store. I suspect the rough handling occurred on the way from China.I don’t know much about stainless steel but the material used contains sufficient chromium, manganese or other to be non magnetic, So I assume it will be reasonably rust resistant but only time will tell. The cage itself is fine, quite light and sturdy, looks very good and has a greater interior volume than other cages of comparable horizontal dimensions I have owned or seen due to the fact that it extends lower to the ground.PLEASE NOTE that there is a barely noticeable thin oily film on the cage that you would likely be wise to thoroughly remove before housing a bird in it. I would have preferred a NorthAmerican made product but a three or more times the price, I would have kept what I now have.Though easy to assemble, assembly instructions would have been nice. While absolutely not required, get your electric screwdriver, it will speed up assembly time significantly.Six years later… The cage is still in very good shape. The stainless steel is perhaps not top quality as small surface rust spots have developed on the bottom tray when kept wet for a day or two (sometimes water seeps under a plastic protector I keep in the bottom) but nothing that is not easy to rub off with a good cleaning – so perfectly adequate for the product. All in all, this was a very good buy and I am considering a second cage.Prevue Pet Products Stainless Steel Play Top Bird Cage
