Highly recommend.
I have a cat with allergies and have been struggling to give her half a zyrtek. I tried other methods without this product. Nothing worked. My usual method for pills are just crushing (provided vet says that’s ok) and putting them in water and then giving them in a syringe as you would a liquid med. However, Lulu will just start drooling and then refuse to swallow, she’s a pain.Anyways, I wrapped her like a burrito, used this pill syringe, and it worked on the first try. I’m trying some positive reinforcement and giving her a treat after. Hoping maybe I can stop burrito wrapping her eventually.Highly recommend.

Doest’t work for me.
Not impressed. It was easier to push the pill down my dogs throat. She hates it but she is able to eat the peanut butter and spit the pill out untouched. She’s like the princess and the pea. I can put one pea in with her dog food. She will lick the bowl clean and the pea will be the only thing left!With regard to this gadget the pill holder wasn’t big enough to hold the capsule securely… maybe if the plastic were more pliable I could have secured it. But eventually you have to lower the syringe…..and the capsule falls to the floor. I suggest you chose the other brand.. I think I’m going to try the pill pockets next.

This makes it much easier for me than sticking my fingers in my cats mouth. I don’t shove it down his throat, just half way in. It’s not a powerful thing, it pushes the pill. Works just fine for me. It takes a very small pill. My cat takes a chemo pill which is very small and it fits in this pill popper. I like it a lot.

Helpful Dispenser
The pet pill plunger popper has worked. You have to make sure the pet does not see it to get it to work. Using this saves your fingers which often get cut when you try to administer a pill

Not too happy
I bought this to be able to give my cats pills since they are a bit picky and seem to smell medicine from a mike away, no matter how well it is hidden in a treat. Well, those just don’t work. First it was almost impossible to get the soft tip on and ones it was on it wouldn’t come back off. Finally i managed to get pill in the syringe and when i tried to administer it it wouldn’t come out and finally all crumpled up. Wasted the meds. I can not recommend this

Great tool, works perfectly
Comes with two plungers each with two heads (solid and slitted). The slitted is not broken and is intentional for easier pill holding/removal (seen some other reviews stating the slitted one was a manufacturing defect).When attaching the head, it takes considerable effort and twisting to get it fully seated and is VERY tight (this is good). I mention this as I have also seen reviews of the head becoming detached and logging into the pets esophagus. This sounds like the head was not fully attached to begin with and popped off (which I was unable to reproduce even with considerable effort). If you have the head fully seated, that thing is not coming off by accident.Easy to use, just pull plunger back enough that the pill can fit in at least halfway. If pill is a tight fit, use the slit head instead. Pill should fit without being too tight as plunger needs to push it out with ease. Just an easy push of plunger to dislodge pill once it is situated in your pets mouth. All done.My cat absolutely hates it but it is a necessary evil (tried pill pockets but she’s snooty with her food).

Pills don’t pop
I have used a cat pill popper/shooter for many years now. I bought this product thinking the the little finger holds would make it easier to use and less likely for me to drop. It does do that but the pushing action is too stiff and I can’t get the plunger to my be fast enough to make the pill shoot into my cats mouth. I have used for a month now and I still find the pill in the end of the string instead of my cats mouth. See picture of the plunger pushed all the way in and the pill is still there.This item is better at dispensing liquid meds or creamy meds. The feel of the product is substantial and well made. It just doesn’t work for shooting the pill in to a cats mouth. It has two end pieces for each syringe. A split one for pills and solid one for drawing up liquid I suspect. I also noticed there are no markings on the syringe to indicate how much liquid you are drawing up.Any how the pet pill popper does not pop the pill well for me.

Fits tiny tablets really well, but not the larger ones as the soft part is too stiff.Does push the tablet out really well – you just need to make sure the soft part is fully pushed on, up to the line, this is difficult to do but worth the effort.Despite all this, my cat is too sneaky so it’s back to old style fingers for us!I still reccomend though as, used properly, it’s certainly worth a try and seems robust and good quality. With the added bonus of being a syringe too so is doubly useful.
