A great BOB and more
I purchased this with the intention of having as my primary BOB. It serves this purpose well, however to my surprise I’ve found several other uses.I had been carrying multiple beach bags and trying to manage two young kiddos for trips to the pool. Constantly dropping stuff and wishing I had a better option to carry all this crap. Then I saw my BOB pack just sitting in the corner and thought… “huh, why can’t I use that?”. Well I tried and couldn’t be happier that I’ve found a practical use for this pack. I can fit a change of clothes, towels, goggles, swim board, toys and much more in this durable pack. The side pockets are perfect size for sippy cups and keeps them cold. I can even weave noodles and snake the compression straps through the swimmies which allows me to be more hands-free.I also have taken this as a carry-on. It holds a ton of stuff including everyone’s tablets/electronics, snacks, 1 day change of clothes, blankies, etc. Diapers, wipes and spare underwear fit perfect in the water bladder compartment. I bought the pack in black, which doesn’t scream tactical (as much). I’ve never had trouble getting this through TSA.This is a great back to take camping. I feel confident that I can throw just about anything in this thing without worry. Lots of pockets. I can’t even begin to scratch the surface on its durability while the shoulder straps are padded and makes carrying heavy loads manageable. It’s a heavy pack so don’t plan on taking this hiking. There are many better packs designed for that.A great BOB? Most definitely. I repack this with my supplies when it goes back to ‘BOB Mode’. I’ve found this is a great exercise to help me remember what I have and where I’ve put it. There are many reviews already about this pack as BOB. It’s expensive but you get what you pay for. I have been happy with this an my other 5.11 purchases.

everything i hoped for
I’m a business traveler, & more recently have been doing shorter (1-2 day) trips. I have an old Kelty pack that I’ve used. The limit on that bag was about 2 days’ of clothes, etc. In addition, I had to bring my wheeled computer bag. On small regional jets that bag often had to be gate checked. I was on a mission to find ONE bag that would fit everything I needed for a 3 day trip. At first glance this bag seems like overkill. It is BIG.I’ve used the bag a couple times in the past few weeks and it has been everything I hoped for. I’ve found that the hydration compartment is the perfect laptop pocket. It’s protected and easy to get to when going through security. The amin pocket has plenty of room for a tablet, laptop power cords, network cable, etc. The main compartment had room for three days of clothes and some notepads and other paperwork. Small pocket at the top currently has some granola bars and 5 hour energy bottles (NEEDED!). one of the side pockets holds my 32 oz Nalgene water bottle easily. A nice surprise was to find that the other side pocket easily holds a pair of my large (size 13) flip flops to wear around hotels.On longer trips when I need to check a bag, this will be bigger than needed, but the ability to cinch it down with the compression straps should make it manageable. I knew going in that part would be a compromise.In terms of build quality, it’s excellent – very heavy duty and seemingly indestructible. The bag itself is heavy but once it’s on, it’s very comfortable.My only observation (won’t go so far as to call it a complaint) is that the clips (for keys/keychains)inside the admin pocket are plastic and don’t seem nearly as durable. Time will tell. All in all, this is a great bag. In addition to the size, the tons of organization options make it easy to pack full and actually be able to find what you packed. I’m very happy with my purchase

Ich verwende bereits seit ein paar Jahren den Rush24 Rucksack als Allround-Pack für Ausflüge über mehrere Tage und auch als (etwas großen) Daypack. Da mich dieser nie im Stich gelassen hat, und aufgrund seiner gut durchdachten, zahlreichen Fächer für eine perfekte Ordnung sorgt, manchmal aber, vor allem wenn ich Sportsachen mitnehmen möchte, etwas zu klein ist, habe ich mir nun auch den Rush72 gekauft.Der Rush72 ist riesig. Bisher habe ich die Kapazität noch nie ausgeschöpft. Dass die Seitenfächer auch zugänglich sind, ohne dass man die Seitengurte löst, ist eine wesentliche Verbesserung zum Rush24. Für das Handgepäcksfach im Flugzeug ist er – im Gegensatz zum Rush24 – zu groß. Die Verarbeitung ist 1A und ich gehe davon aus, dass der Rucksack, wie schon der Rush24, über viele Jahre ohne Abnützungserscheinungen treue Dienste erweisen wird.Das Organizer-Fach vorne ist so groß, dass es sogar einen 13″ Laptop aufnimmt, diesen bringe ich aber lieber im Trinkblasenfach unter, dass sich perfekt auch für Dokumente eignet.Aufgrund der wirklich großen Volumens verwende den Rucksack. derzeit aber nur Fallweise. Mein Day-to-Day Begleiter bleibt der Rush24.Wie auch schon beim Rush24 habe ich die “Abflusslöcher” im Boden und im Trinkblasenfach mit Sugru zugeklebt. Diese sind vielleicht in trockenem Umfeld mit viel Sand sinnvoll, im teils feuchten Europa aber ein Ärgernis.
