Best backpack for furry friends
I recently bought the Active Cooling Pet Backpack Carrier with Side Fan for my cat, and it’s hands-down one of the best pet travel purchases I’ve made. The built-in fan makes a huge difference—especially during long walks or when traveling in warm weather. My cat stays calm and comfortable, and I love knowing she’s getting steady airflow the entire time.The transparent bubble design gives her a great view of the outside world while still feeling secure. It’s fun to see her looking out like a little astronaut! The ventilation system is excellent, with side openings and mesh panels that help circulate air even when the fan isn’t on.Comfort-wise, the shoulder straps are padded and the weight is distributed well, so it doesn’t strain my back during hikes or longer trips. Interesting Design, Some Reservations
This transparent bubble backpack pet carrier is definitely unique. When I put my pup inside, he looks like the boy in a bubble, which is kind of cute, but there’s just something about putting him in a hard-plastic, fishbowl-like enclosure that makes me feel a bit sad, like I want to take him out and just carry him instead. 😂 My slightly oversized toy poodle puppy is 7 pounds and stands 11″ tall. So yes, he’s over the carrier’s weight limit of 6lbs, which is clearly stated in the second photo under Buying Tips. So that’s on me. He’s jet black, so you can barely see him inside, though he can see out, of course. Even without using the fan, there seems to be ample ventilation with the mesh sides and grommet holes. A separate power bank is required to power the fan, and it clearly states that the power bank is not included, also in the second photo under Buying Tips. This is not an issue for me, as I have several compact portable power banks, but if you don’t have one, you’ll need to purchase one separately.The way the carrier was packaged pushed the back panel into the interior space. Since there’s a thin, flexible plastic board inside the fabric of the back, it has taken on a concave shape from being pushed in by the box and the shoulder straps, so it remains pushed in, taking up space inside the already small carrier. There was also a sheet of Saran Wrap-like plastic serving as a protective film on the outside of the plastic bubble, and the three grommets were obviously installed with the protective film in place, leaving plastic pieces stuck under the edges of the grommets. I spent a few minutes trying to pick them all out, but some are still stuck. I could very carefully pluck them out with a tweezer, being mindful not to scratch the plastic, but that’s a lot of trouble. The padded straps are adjustable, and the backpack feels comfortable on my 5’1″, 115-pound frame. It’s a cute and unique design, and my pup was such a good boy when I put him inside. But he didn’t seem to like being inside it, and he immediately jumped out when I opened it, whereas in his other carriers he usually stays sitting inside for a while. It could be as weird for him being in a bubble as it is for me. I’m on the fence with this one.

Needs More Space
I have a similar backpack to this that I take my cat to the vet in and one trip during the warmer temps I noticed she looked like she was warm in the car while in it so I decided to try this one out.I don’t mind too much that you have to plug it in because I will typically use this in the car but I also have portable chargers to make sure the fan is working whenever I use it.My bigger issue is that the back doesn’t open up to expand it at all. My cat is fine in the smaller space but when we arrive to our location I like to open up the back of my current backpack to give her space to move around. The space isn’t a huge issue for typically transport with her but if I were to take my other big fatty kitty in this she would not be happy with me.I do appreciate the outside pockets. If this opened in the back it would easily be a higher rating.

Comfortable Pet Backpack with Better Ventilation Than Most
I tested this with a small pet who gets warm easily, and the built-in fan actually makes a noticeable difference. The bubble window gives great visibility, and the straps are padded enough for longer wear. The zippers feel decent, though I wouldn’t use it for pets who try to claw their way out. For travel or short outings, the airflow and comfort are big pros.

It’s questionable.
It’s large and was able to fit both my cat and dog, separately, inside. I took off a star for 3 things. 1. Had no idea that the fan needed to be charged. 2. Glad, I use C chargers to charge it. 3. There’s no indication, if its charging or not. The instructions didn’t say much. The inside bottom piece is larger than the actual bottom. Which made it weird trying to line up the velcro attachment. I did like that the back had lots of cushion for me. The bulb is clear, but I barely could see my cat with my naked eye. But I guess I shouldn’t have picked a black bag, when I have a black cat. Bag seemed to be made of quality material. I like the color and design. This is my cat, dog, and I, first time experiencing this type of bag. And I was happy that they didn’t freak out, being inside it. Royal, my cat, cried a little. He investigated it, quite a bit. There is a side pockets that unzips directly to them. So, I was able to give them a treat for being good and patient babies. I didn’t try with them both in, since Royal doesn’t like going anywhere without Poppy, my dog. I’ll probably try after I charge up the fan. Don’t want them getting to hot in there. The bulb seems to be made of a durable plastic. But I feel more ventilation is needed some how. But I still like the bag.
