Augie Bones whittle down and chew just like typical traditional tough nylon and plastic chew toys on the market, but with a big difference…we use NO nylon or traditional plastics!Dogs should not be able to tear off large chunks, however, no toy is indestructible so always watch your dog when chewing.Augie Bones may chew down a bit further than typical tough toys.You will see small flakey pieces come off. These are earth and dog-safe and won’t leave behind harmful microplastics.

Natural product that keeps our big guy busy!
Our Pit/Staffy mix, Mr Bruce Willis, LOVES his Auggie bones and being they’re a natural product we aren’t worried about him mowing them down to a nub. They last a long time and he is an aggressive chewer, as soon as I opened the package and he knew what it was he went for a zoomie while I unpacked them 🙂 Given how long they last and how well they keep him busy we feel they are a great value for the price!

Not safe for strong chewing.
The first day it came, my labrador retriever fell in love with it. But soon I noticed she was able to bite little chunks off of it that were really sharp. My little dog started picking them up and I started worrying about it so I had to take it away from them. So a total waste of my money.

Excellent product!
Absolutely love these bones! My Plott hound destroys every toy within minutes but this bone is lasting! So grateful it’s non toxic, plant based, without petroleum ingredients. Definitely will be supporting this small family business again!

My super chewer Chihuahua loves his new Augie bone! As soon as it came out of the package, he went to work on chewing, and he has done a great job at chomping the daylights out of it already! My husband will file down the sharp edges and give it back. What a great chew for my little dog.

So, I am a huge fan of these toys and very rarely write reviews, but when I saw what @Emi1Earth reviewed, I felt compelled to respond. My dogs love these toys. One of them is a BIG boy, so a really tough chewer, and the other kind of nibbles on them. Before I bought them, I read through the Amazon page to understand what I was getting my dogs into. There is so much garbage out there, and I wanted to make sure before I took a chance. So first off, they have pictures of how the toys chew down, and from what I see of the toy that the customer posted, her dog is chewing it how my dogs (and others who have posted here) chew them, and I believe that’s how they’re supposed to chew, kind of like a typical hard plastic toy. 2ndly, these are not plastic; they are made from plants, and the toy company stresses they are tested non-toxic, which means no yucky toxic microplastics, which again makes me feel good for our dogs that this company is taking real responsibility for our dog’s health, unlike most plastic dog toy companies who don’t care at all as long as they make a buck. I guess lastly is a personal comment. It’s easy to assume the worst, but before you post such a negative review about a small, growing company that is dedicating itself to making an impact for our pets against big nylon and plastic toy companies, perhaps read through what you are buying first, so you know what to expect before slamming them with damaging reviews. By the way, I am not associated with the company at all, but I was once a business owner and know how hard it is when a business gets negative reviews from people who don’t really understand what the product is or how they are supposed to work. I, for one, will continue to buy Augie Bones for my dogs and feel good about doing it. A big thank you to Augie Bones for making a toy that we can finally give our dogs that isn’t toxic.

Selected this brand after reading that the ingredients are very safe. No nylon, no raw hide. The size is big and appropriate for his size (50 lbs). I don’t have to worry about him swallowing it. It’s well worth the money and one of the toys in his basket that he takes out first thing every morning. After a few days of his using it, there are a few chew “dents” but I would imagine the bone will survive my dog, who is a Aussie Shepherd-Bull Terrier and a nervous chewer. He does take his bones and drop them on the ceramic floor, and this one has not chipped or become cracked, which is usually why I have to take his marrow bones away from him. (He likes to eat the chips that break off-which is bad for him.).

In less than 30 minutes my 30 pound dog was chewing pieces off and swallowing them. Save your money!
