Easy to Use, Calmed My Crying Cat
My cat had been crying every day at 4am for three days, which really affected my sleep. I think of this cat phenomenon diffuser I bought but haven’t gotten the chance to try. It comes with two diffusers and two refills. It’s fairly easy to use, just open the bottle, screw it into the diffuser, and plug it into a regular outlet. It took me a little while to figure out how to assemble it since it’s my first time using it, and there were no instructions included, but I found it on the product page. Read through the website product page before use, there’s a lot of information. Like I just get to know that the plug-in head is 90° rotatable, suitable for different outlets. The product does get hot during use.It smells a little bit oilly to my opinion when you smells it really close. But as long as my cat like it, she seems interested in the scent, she sniffed the diffuser several times, like she really sensed something. She hasn’t cried these past few days, so hopefully this continues.

Does not work at all
Just a gimmick. Doesn’t do anything. My cat doesn’t even seem to smell it. He was curious at first and smelled it but no interest after that. He did not become any calmer, I’d say even more zoomies than before. It doesn’t bring him sleepiness calmness or comfort, it’s just a thing plugged into the wall. It does last a super long time, but it’s just useless. I recommend buying something recommended by the vet or at least from a brand you know. Not worth it at all.

I’d recommend this if your cat is anxious, adjusting to a new home, or if you’ve got multiple cats who sometimes get on each other’s nerves. Just be patient, it’s not instant, but give it a few days and you’ll probably see a difference like I did.

Operating voltage wrong for USA
The Borwei diffusers are 220 volts even though they have 110 volt plugs. This means they will not heat effectively on standard USA house current. 220 volts is common in China where these are made. The front panel light is also a power button- push on/ push off.Wondering if many of the other diffuser units on the market have a similar mismatch in voltage rating? Something to be aware of.I was able to test the one functional unit with a step-up transformer. Seems to work- smells like damp cardboard to me but I’m not a cat LOL. Kitties seem to like it though.

Easy to set up, results unclear
It is as easy as plugging in an air freshener. I’m not so sure of the smell though. I had my cat smell it and he was not into it at all, he pulled away from it. Although it could have something to do with the way he was raised, basically being separated from his mother too soon. I have yet to try it because we are planning to move and I want to used it in the new home. Will try to update them.

Concerning warnings on box
I’ve used other brands of cat pheromones’ before, and I’d say the quality is comparable to more well-known brands. The product leaks when plugged in, which I’ve also found with other plug-ins I’ve used. I’m not sure if this is a problem with my house, or just a problem in general – but it’s consistent for me so I’m not deducting a star for that. My concern with this leaking is that on the box, it says “if ingested can cause death” – I’m scared that my cat may lick the liquid off the floor that has leaked out, also what the heck is in here that can cause death? Is it even safe to breath this in?! I don’t recall seeing a death warning on other cat pheromones’ I’ve used, but I cant be certain because it may have been in fine print that I missed. Part of me thinks this may be a translation error because cat pheromones’ should be safe for cats to ingest (only causing upset stomach) and on the box it says its safe for pets and humans so I really hope this is just a mistake.My second complaint is the lack of instruction, or at least, readable instructions. It looks like they used AI to write the instructions on the box, but it didn’t format correctly so there are partial sentences that end out of no-where, and then text that makes no sense together. There is a button on the diffuser that turns red when pressed – is this a power button? I’m not sure, as there is no mention of it in the instructions.
