So much better than the litter maid!!!
I have 1 kitty but I absolutely hate having to scoop litter every day (who doesn’t?) so I knew I wanted an automatic one. I’ve dealt with the litter maid for too long and finally had enough of it. I came across this Cumrige one for a fraction of the price of the Litter robot. After reading reviews and comparing several different ones this won and I’m so glad I got it.It’s been over a few months now and the only thing that is a little irritating to me is the app doesn’t send me an alert telling me something is wrong or I need to empty the pan. Not a big deal since I walk by it multiple times a day and can see it, but when I push the limit on emptying it I’d like to know it REALLY needs to be done before kitty goes in the middle of the night. It stays in the open mode making kitty go on the floor instead because it needs to be changed. Lesson learned 😆. I only have one cat so I can go almost 2 weeks without changing it just fine.I thought the fact that when it cleans the bottom pan is exposed would make the smell noticeable, but it’s only for a few minutes and really isn’t bad. We were used to it being worse with the litter maid. I do make sure to use the arm n hammer litter box deodorizer powder and sprinkle it in the bottom of the bag when changing and give extra if I’m pushing it with cleaning. I also use arm n hammer litter clump and seal. I first tried the slide litter but the smell was AWFUL and I almost threw up having the tie the bag up and dump it. I don’t know what made it so bad but I couldn’t handle it and I’ve never had issues with any other kind.You are also able to clean the tray that holds the litter as well making it much easier to clean than the litter maid.It is a bit larger than I thought but overall so glad I got it. It rarely has any issues and has made my life so much easier.

Great solution for our very clean girl! Our 7-year-old girl is very clean, and as soon as her litter is dirty, she will use the bathroom elsewhere, outside of the litter box. Sometimes we wouldn’t know where she was going, and then finding out a few days later was quite unpleasant. This litter box solved that entire problem. It’s also incredibly simple to clean – just 3 steps and you’re done. It can be done using the app or physical buttons on the unit itself.Be warned, it took ~2 weeks for our girl to use this. It seems after she used it the first time, she saw it rotate to self-clean, which spooked her out. This meant she was going somewhere in the house, which we had to find. And eventually, she started using it — no idea why. It’s been great ever since, and she always has clean litter she wants.We clean (no touching, using the empty litter feature) it about every two weeks, but doing it weekly would be ideal if your cat uses it frequently. Our girl goes twice a day. We use a combination of clumping and non-clumping litter to keep it familiar to our girl, so she adapts more easily — your mileage may vary here. The litter sits on top of a sort of tray inside the dome, which can also be removed for cleaning when you change the litter. When you remove this tray, you can also wipe down the inside of the dome to ensure everything is clean, sanitized, and smelling fresh.To control this unit using your phone, you have to use the Tuya app. In the app, you can view the unit’s status, the number of uses, the cat’s weight, and other logs. You can also control the cleaning settings and lights of the unit in the app. The lights are pretty cool.It’s a simple design, but be sure to consider the size and measure accurately, ensuring you have enough room for both width and height. It’s made well and feels strong and durable. Assembly was easy and only took about 4-5 steps. Initially, I thought it was too expensive, but after seeing some of the more well-known brands and realizing they offered the same features, it was a no-brainer to invest in a nearly $250 cheaper unit that provided a comparable warranty, making the value for the money clear.Support has been great, and they’re easily reachable and responsive via WhatsApp.If you can get your cat to use this, it’s a life convenience you’ll wonder how you lived without!
