Only lasted about 2 months
We bought this to heat a tortoise house for winter in Oklahoma. We used it in the spring until the weather was warm at night and then plugged it in again a month ago weather started getting cold at night again. So it has been only used for about 2 months total. Today I have it set to 94 degrees to try to get the heat up to 85 and the temperature keeps going down. Of course it is past return date so I guess I’ll have to get another heater to keep the tortoises warm. The other one I have works fine for now but we need two for the size of the enclosure. I was hoping for better quality and it would last a bit longerUpdate- I unplugged the heater and blew some dust out of it and now it is working fine. I am changing my review to 5 stars. Our nights get down into the 20s and the heaters keep the temperature in their hut at 80 degrees

DO NOT BUY NOT A GOOD HEATER
It was in the mid 40s today. I built a dog house 48″x48″x48″ 1/2 inch plywood on each side of 2×4 studded walls floor and ceiling. All insulated With a insulated push through door. I installed this heater around 3pm it was 42°F inside the house after running for 4 hours it’s at 55°F. This thing is totally useless and a waste of time and money. I took a small space heater and put it in the dog house with this heater and the temp went to 70°F with in 4 minutes. 30 minutes later with no heat running the dog house was still 65°F.

Good heater
Have a rescue dog that’s never been in a house and loves his dog house thats insulated, I wanted to get a heater if I’m unable to get him to stay in the house during the winter when its really cold. Seems to work okay for the nights so far when it’s been in 30’s – 40’s. Was easy to set it up in the doghouse and setting up the app on my phone. The heat output is good so far, like that the app shows the interior temp so I can adjust with the touch of a button to make sure he’s comfortable when he’s outside in his dog house during the day or nights.

Great product
It’s smaller than I thought it would be, haven’t installed yet, but should be perfect for what I need.

Worked great for a few weeks
I am pretty impressed with this heater. It is small, powerful and easy to set up. Connecting it to WiFi and through the app on my phone were easy with the provided QR codes. As you can see by the included pictures, it is in the low 20’s and this heat is able to keep an igloo doghouse right above 60. Thermal pics show the variation of temperature. It is very quiet and I can barely hear it running while next to the dog kennel. Only draw back is the cord from the heater to the control box is way too short. Needs to have option for extensions to allow for easy of mounting depending on where you need it. I had to just hang the controls on the rear of the doghouse since it wouldn’t reach to the fence. Seems to be a worthy purchase so far and I’ll recommend it to other K9 handlers. So I apparently never submitted the initial review. Here’s an update. Used it for maybe 2 mo the last winter while the temps were low. Worked without issue. Just had a major cold front push through and dropped our temps back below freezing for first time this year. Went to turn this back on after not used for months. Gave a fault code for the motor. Won’t start or work at all. Just powers up with fault code. So works great when it works. Lifespan is laughable. I did order the same thing as a replacement but included a 3 year protection plan this time. If you by this I strongly recommend the protection plan. Not sure why it wouldn’t last longer but now there is a warranty to cover the breakage.

Works as advertised
I installed it in a top corner of a doghouse that is about 4′ long x 2.5′ wide x 2’+ high. It cycles as I programmed it. I installed the thermometer in the same end of the doghouse so I questioned if the temperature in the end with the door was warm enough. So I put a remote thermometer in the house across from the door opening (it’s covered with a thick vinyl flap). What I found is: outside temp 20-35 deg fahrenheit, heater set at 74, the end by the door was about 15-20 degrees cooler than the heater was set for. I would probably relocate the heater to the center of the doghouse if I had to do it again. But my dog seems to like it as is. He curls up on the warm end when needed but I usually see him stretched out with his face in the cooler end.

I would look elsewhere
While it seemed like it would be great, it lasted less than a week before I started to get the EE error code. I would unplug it and plug it back in, it would work well for about 30 mins and shut off again. The quality and I functionality of it is not worth it, especially for the price, and especially not at the expense of our animals in 5 degree weather. I would recommend looking else where for something more dependable
