Highly recommend. It’s the perfect everything!
PERFECT. Truly perfect. It is the perfect thickness, the perfect weight, the perfect material, the perfect fit, and so easy to put on. The most pleasantly surprising thing about this the vest is that the top side has a bunch of tiny holes in it, but there is a second layer to this material that is totally solid on the underside. The reason this was important to me was because I didn’t want a bunch of fur escaping through the tiny holes from the underside, especially since I actually mostly planned to use this lightweight vest as a way to minimize the amount of shedding that takes place on every surface in my house. It does a fairly good job at preventing too much shedding, although nothing is perfect. But even as a cooling vest, I’ve been able to soak this vest, ring it out, and it stays very cool to the touch. Very simple technology that works very well. I plan to get a few more of these just to keep a clean one on hand at all times. Highly recommend. My dog, by the way, weighs 66 lb, is some type of Alaskan Husky mix, maybe with Malamute, and for her size, I bought a large. Definitely not too big and not too small. It’s just right. Goldilocks gives it a thumbs up.

Definitely worth it in the current heat wave!
This to help cool your dog off in the heat. It fits over the head, then Velcros around both sides! You soak it in water for about 5 minutes, wring it out, shake it a few times to activate it.and put on the dog. You can also put it in the refrigerator for a few minutes to make it even colder. I think it works by helping to evaporate the dogs coat. I have a standard poodle with about an inch of hair, and this is a must have for outside. It’s been between 100 & 109 degrees last week, and my dog was cool, and not needing to pant. That said, don’t leave it on him unsupervised cuz it really it too hot to Leave your dog outside. My dog is a service dog, and he is with me all day. He wears it under his vest when working. He can wear it inside as well as long as I wring it out well. This is the same material used for cooling people by hanging it around your neck. I was using that for my dog, and this is 100 times better because it fits him so well. I got a L for my 50 lb dog. Highly recommend it.

Works well for our 13-year-old dog
We bought this for our dog to wear on a recent trip to the beach, but we started using it anytime he was going to be outside in the Summer heat, for potty breaks and walks. It works very well keeping him from getting too hot. It dries out faster than I would have liked which is why on our beach trip I made sure to have a ziplock bag of water to rewet it as needed. I like how easy it is to put on and take off him. It’s thin and lightweight so it doesn’t interfere with how his harness fits.

Works Well
My dog is a long-haired German Shepherd and she needs all the help she can get when it’s hot. She weighs 65 lbs but I bought an extra large because she has so much hair and it fits a little loose, but with the Velcro closures, it works great. I’ve only used this twice, but so far it seems to be working to cool her off in the heat we’ve been having. When it’s this hot, I only take her out for about 20 minutes at a time and it stays wet through that. If I were to go longer, it might need to be wet again during the walk, but if it’s hot enough to wear this, I’m not going to be going longer than 20 minutes anyway. And of course, in case anyone is wondering, a lot of our walk is in the shade.

Cooling doesn’t last without continued rewetting
The fabric is so thin with no moisture retaining qualities that I have to continue pooring water over it while we hike. It does cool but I have to take a hydration backpack filled with water to rewet it. We only hike early mornings for a couple of hours.

Great product for dogs
I bought this to help keep our pug from getting overheated during the summer. This product has been working great for her. It is light weight and easy to put on. She doesn’t even seem to mind having it on. She is wearing a small and it fits nicely. Highly recommend.

Great for Keeping My Boston Cool
Works well for my Boston in the hot summer weather in Southern California. It is very light weight and stays wet and cool for our mid-morning (second) walk. He is 28lbs and wears a small. It fits very well and is easy to put on. I chill it with ice water for a few minutes before putting it on him.

Good for older dogs
Worked exactly as described. We have an elderly dog that still wants to go on walks with the pack when it’s hot, but he has lost his ability to regulate his temperature very well. I followed the directions and wet the vest, rung it out, and put it on (under his harness) and it keeps him cool for an entire walk with no panting. 🙂

They are like shool tabrds that are used in teams and sports matches. Do not retain moisture or keep cool very well. Better cooling jackets out there. Look for the ones made of a neoprene material.

This cooling vest is a great product. My mum’s little dog has a black coat, so he really feels the heat. With the damp cooling vest on, he seems much more comfortable. Once the vest starts to dry out, simply take it off and rinse it under the tap to make it damp again before putting it back on. It seems to work best if you wring it out so it’s damp but not dripping.

Brilliant cooling lightweight jacket for my pug ,easy to fit into my bag , just dip into water , squeeze excess water away and place on dog ..it was certainly needed in hot weather we had. Helped my dog stay cool , when it dries out just repeat the process . Fits my pug well , its velcro straps so can be adjusted if needed , didnt cause any sores on dog he remained comfortable in it .May be higher price than what you get in shops , but I got best fit for my pug and it was definitely worth the money for me and him .

Très satisfaite de ce gilet anti-UV et rafraîchissant. Mon chien a des réactions allergiques au soleil et depuis qu’elle le porte, plus de plaie, plus de perte de poils, sa peau est redevenue nickel et son poil a repoussé et est doux. Le fait qu’il soit possible de mouiller le gilet par temps de grandes chaleurs est très appréciable (et apprécié). Enfin, il est très facile à enfiler et à ajuster grace aux bandes scratch.
