Great Clippers!
Being a senior and having one hip replaced these great clippers are easy to use, very sharp, come with a metal case and a file, and has a wide opening which helps getting my thick toenails in. It also has a little tray right behind the blades to help catch the clippings so they don’t go flying off everywhere. They are very well made and even though they cost more they have been worth the money.

This is the nicest pair of clippers and sharpest I have ever owned. After my cat’s played with and lost my cheap shiny pair of clippers…that were hard to use due to arthritis. These nail clippers are amazing! They are really sharp and easy to use. I love that they come with a case and file as well.I don’t have thick toenails, but they are really strong. So the regular nail clippers I’ve had haven’t been able to cut through them or lead to ingrown nails.I have had zero issues with these clippers and will never go back!!Bonus points for the locking mechanism. It works well and the trigger us nicely placed

Cuts through thick toenails, but need to do carefully in stages; takes time
Although it does cut through thick curved toenails very well that a regular toenail clipper can’t clip or can only barely clip, you need to really PAY ATTENTION to how & where you place the open clipper jaws on these before you start to cut & be VERY CAREFUL as you press down on the lever & make the cut.(I can see why so many reviewers mentioned that they drew blood/cut themselves, because it is easy for cutting edge to slip out of place as you are pressing down on the lever to make the cut). Also, I learned the hard way that just because it cuts through well, does not mean that you should attempt to clip the nail off right where it needs cutting (he way you would in one cut with a regular toenail clipper); it’s better to make several small cuts going back further on each one.It does not make smooth or even cuts ; the edge of the toenail is left rough, so that you end up having to use a file or an emery board to smooth out the edges. (I guess THAT’S why they included that metal nail file in the package:) – not even a very good file at that).I’ve never ever had to use a nail file or emery board after using my regular toenail clippers which make a smooth cut, but now that my toenails are getting thicker with age, my regular toenail clippers just do not open wide enough to use for all my toenails. So, I may continue to use this one cautiously for some toenails. Or I may look into buying an electric “nail drill” that I think grinds off the toenail edges like using a file does.Although this does work to cut through thick toenails, it is a very slow task using this because of the time you need to take to do it carefully enough in slow stages, and then need to file the nails afterward.
