Nice lamp
It was a great lamp. Unfortunately I had to send it back because it wasn’t what I needed. But if it was something I needed I would have kept it

Great heat source
This light heats up well. No bulb needed. Good quality. Very easy to use. Plug in and it starts to heat.

Really nice heat lamp with two temperature options
Perfect heater for my feral cat that looks for refuge during cold days or nights.I love that I can choose between two heat settings. Even on cold nights, I still leave the setting on low as it’s in a draft free building. The cage around the bulb is sturdy and provides nice protection to the heat bulb. The cord is thick and seems pretty durable/chew resistant. This is a great heat lamp with two temperature options at a really decent price for the quality of the heater.

Seems great so far, but it better last a long time
We live on a hobby farm with several types of animals and a number of heat lamps in the barn and chicken house. I ordered this 170 W / 350 W one from Hi-Na to try an alternative to the standard ones with a 250 W heat lamp bulb. I get sick of replacing those bulbs because they either wear out, or an animal bumps the lamp and breaks the bulb. The other thing I like about this lamp is the switch. You can either turn it off, or switch it to low power (170W) or switch it to high power (350W). The low setting puts out a good amount of heat but not much visible change to the heating element while the high power pumps out nearly double and the heating element glows bright red.My only concern is that the heating element does not appear to be replaceable, so when this burns out, the whole thing is garbage. Given its much higher price, it better last a very long time. I’ll post an update when/if it fails.Overall, I’m happy with it so far.

Good heat lamp for keeping the coop warm during cold periods, easy to assemble and install,
Hi-Na Heat Lamp for Chickens – Good heat lamp for keeping the coop warm during cold periods, easy to assemble, install, and appears well made. Dual mode heat levels depending on your requirement. I installed this in the smaller of our two coops, this one being about 100 square feet in area and ~7-1/2 feet in height. The heat is noticeable within a few seconds on low setting and really gets warm on high and the rear shield does get warm.It comes with hanging hardware and I like the hook feature on the lamp’s front metal protective grid. Intentional or not, that hook allows the lamp to be set at an angle with ease if you prep for the potentially required angles beforehand. What I do not like about this lamp is it’s essentially a throw-away if the element fails. Having said that, the advertisement says the element has a ‘long life span’; time will tell.I cannot say it’s a good value at this time, but I can say it’s worth giving a try. So, it’s about average for the time being and will adjust the rating as I know more.

Perfect
It’s been below freezing in Louisiana these past couple of days, and I bought this product to keep my chickens warm during the winter. It came in handy, and I’m very satisfied with its quality, ease of installation, and ease of use. It’s a great product!

Our Roosters love it!
Chose this heater for our Bachelor flock this winter. We just recently installed it. It was very easy to install, nothing to put together, just plug and play lol it seems to be great quality and functions well! As there’s only 6 boys in their coop right now this one is perfect because it’ll heat the empty spaces where other roosters will eventually be! I’d say it’s a great value and I like this over the old school bulb heat lamps! Also we love it only kicks in after the temp falls below freezing and turns off when the temp rises to a comfortable level. So no worrying about turning it on and off when we get our really bad cold bouts, it’s automatic!

So far, so good. Only had it for a week though.

Horrible product. Barely radiates heat. There’s warm air within an inch of lamp only. Cheap and they make you pay for shipping return which is as much as the lamp.
