What are the main conditions for hens to lay eggs?
Hens need 14-16 hours of light daily, proper food (15-18% protein, 3.5-4g calcium), a comfortable temperature (18-24°C), and good health. Stress or lack of these reduces laying.
Why is Jaenmsa Infrared Heating Bulb used for laying hens?
Jaenmsa 250W Red light (620-700 nm) penetrates the skull to stimulate key reproductive hormones. It also calms hens, reducing stress and pecking, which leads to more consistent egg production.
Does the Jaenmsa Chicken Coop Heater support egg production?
Yes. Jaenmsa heater provides stable, adjustable warmth (250W/175W) with safe infrared bulbs, crucial for maintaining the ideal 18-24°C laying temperature. It helps reduce cold stress, supporting hen health and steady egg production year-round.

Useful and Works Well
Living in North Idaho we get some cold winters. We usually have nights between 0F and 32F in the winter and we just hung this out in the coop for them to warm up during the evenings while hanging out. They love this light. Doubles good as a brooder light also as long as the chicks have enough room to move away/closer. Good value for the money, does what it is advertised to do, compact size, and easy to put up.

My Girls Love It!
My two Basque hens were initially unsure, but now they love the heat. I will be purchasing again.

Decent quality and good size
I bought these for my 26 chicks as it’s getting chilly here. So far so good, chicks are warm and it’s holding up well and a decent size. We have two hanging to cover enough area since we have so many chicks and they’re in a pretty large area.

Using the lamp to keep honey warm in the cold weather
I picked this style of heat lamp because of its low dome. It’s what I need to keep the honey in my apiary’s honey cabinet warm (and it didn’t hurt that I could also use it for baby birds). I also appreciate this lamp’s dual settings. I’ve only used the low setting, which puts out tons of heat immediately (no warming up period), because I don’t want to mess up the quality of our honey. Using it like this, I really wish it had a light that indicated the lamp was on. Mine doesn’t have one. Be aware, too, that the dome gets HOT. You’ll want to have gloves on if you need to reposition it before a cooling-off period.I’ve plugged the lamp into a thermal regulator set to come on at 75 degrees F and turn off at 90 degrees F. This should warm any crystals in our honey so they go back to being liquid. Yea!Recommend (just wish it had an indicator light).

Too Expensive!
Its works just fine and isn’t too complicated to use and set up. It feels pretty solid like it won’t break easily. Also, I know my chickens appreciate the warmth radiating from this heat lamp. The option to choose a low heat setting or a high heat one is convenient, and the switch is covered with a plastic waterproof protective case.My biggest issue is with the size of the lamp in “light” of the price. The lamp, at its wide length (longest part), is only about 8 inches. That’s the shorter side of a piece of letter paper, and yet the lamp is about $25 USD. It’s NOT worth the cost, in my opinion, at such size as this. Extra bulb or not.If, in production, the expense passed on to the consumer stems from that heat setting switch, then in my opinion, it shouldn’t be included in its creation and just have a single heat setting so as to reduce cost. It’s nice, don’t get me wrong, but not if it increases the cost exponentially. Whatever the case, for the overall size, it shouldn’t be so expensive. Maybe 12-18 dollars at most. Just my thoughts.
