Thermal shock cracks the bulb that comes with it and there are NO replacement bulbs
So far this heater has worked well but only because I lucked out and turned it on when the air temperature was in the 60’s. However, it is vulnerable to thermal shock which will cause the bulb to crack and fail if it is turned on when the air temperature is cold. You must turn it on when the air temp is warmer and then leave it on all the time. There are NO replacement bulbs available for this heater! The bulb is about 11 to 12 inches long; the only replacements sold by the maker & Amazon are 6 inches long. I can NOT find any replacement bulbs anywhere online. So when the bulb dies the heater is useless. I do NOT recommend this heater because of the unavailability of replacement bulbs.

Ordered several of these lamps. A couple came with broken bulbs and one without a power cord. The one item that I received with all of the parts, worked well for a couple weeks before it stopped working altogether. It got so hot on the top, it melted the cord that WAS NOT even touching the metal.

I was a little skeptical about the product when I first opened it, but upon installing it and using it the first night my girls coop was nice and toasty but not overly hot. Now I have peace of mind that they’ll be comfortable during the colder months. Very nice quality, and safe with the chains that are included. I would say it’s worth the amount charged.

Puts out heat, cheap made though.
Served it’s purpose and I like the infrared light, however the metal cover is thin. Chains on both ends make it somewhat stable. It’s functional, but won’t buy again. Looking for something more durable for the goats. It did put out a lot of heat, just wish it was better made. But you get what you pay for.
