I was surprised at how thin the box it arrived in was as I was used to bulkier carriers, but this definitely packs down for storage, which is nice!The two ends have a sturdy wire arc in them helping it retain its shape when assembled and making it feel nice and sturdy. I love that there is mesh on the sides and up top for the anxious cats who need to be aware of their surroundings to be calm, as well as for airflow.One of the ends has a pocket, good for tucking in the shoulder strap when not in use or a small treat bag. There’s also zippers on the side and top so you always have a way to access your pet no matter how you’re positioned, but the zippers have a little clasp so they’re more secure from those pets who are known escape artists. 🤣There is also a thick board for the bottom of the carrier, with a cover that unzips so you can easily wash it in the event of accidents from anxious pets. But is also soft to the touch for their comfort (though not all that padded so you may want to include a blanket anyway)Overall this seems pretty well designed and will definitely come in handy!

We use this Carrier with our 9 pound Cat – she likes it
We have two cats from the same litter. They are now 14 years old. One is female (9 lbs) and the other Male (18 lbs). We use this Carrier for the female. She fits in it nicely. In fact, you can see both cats in the picture. We put the carrier down and the female went right in. The larger male just looked on. We decided that we would just use it for the female to let her just sit in, and when needed, to see the Vet. You have to put it together, and while I did not have instructions, it was pretty self-explantory. My comment is be sure your cat will for in it “comfortably.” While the advertisement says 16 lbs max, I recommend only do it if the cat is 14 pounds or less to be on the safe side. Our female likes it, so that means we do too. We used it a few days ago when we had to take her to the vet for an injection for her arthritis. We have to now find a similar carrier that will take a 20 pound cat.

This L&W BROS. Airline Approved Cat Carrier is a bargain for the price! It’s a soft-sided travel bag with the possibility of both ends opening via locking zippers (and an anti-escape safety buckle 👍🏻 )and mesh ‘windows’ with safety zips that open/closed also. It’s TSA friendly but I likely won’t be testing that. I need this as an addition to my earthquake kit so I can evacuate with the cats if need be in the event of an earthquake or fire. Definitely a concern in Southern CA. I had two carriers but one of them doesn’t feel secure enough for my orange boy. With the metal frame and with his 15 pounds, this carrier is purrfect for him in an emergency situation! It has padded shoulder straps but I likely would use the dual carry handles. It also has a piece with a removable washable cover that fits in to maintains the flat bottom. The description doesn’t list a denier rating but this carrier feels like a quality carrier while keeping the weight at a minimum for easy carrying by a woman. Surprisingly, my boy started inspecting it as soon as I put it on the floor. As you can see he 🐈 got comfy right off the bat, lol! I’m very happy with this purchase!

Well designed and affordable carrier that folds flat for storage
This bag is 17″L x 10″W x 11″H, and my usual airline specifies 17″L x 11″W x 9.5″H, but in my experience when I’ve traveled with a pet, it is not a problem since you can kind of compress it to fit under the seat. I know I’ve used a carrier that was a smidge bigger than this one, and it was fine with the airline.My kitties fit comfortably in this carrier. They are just under 10 lbs and a bigger kitty could easily fit in, but I obviously can’t test with a larger animal since I don’t have one. It has a removable firm bottom insert with a removable, washable cover to give it stability plus wire framing. The cover isn’t super fluffy, but it’s pretty typical for carriers, and I think it’s better to add a small, soft comforting blanket separately anyway. It also can fold flat which is awesome if you’re short on storage space. There is a pocket at one end so you can store paperwork quickly.The zip is tight along some of the corners, but nothing that makes me feel the need to dock the rating. The zips also can attach to each other in case you have a determined pet, but the zip is pretty firm even without being secured.
