Decent option for kibble
One of my dogs is not a picky eater but she still got wide eyed and excited when she smelled this as soon as it came. Was very excited to try it and loved it. My picky eater also loved it and will not accept anything else now.

Our dogs enjoy it
At the time I came across this brand, I was doing research in best dry dog food for dogs as far as nutrients and quality ingredients, no fillers and that sort of thing. Comparing prices of each that were highly regarded. Nature’s Recipe came highly recommended and it was less expensive than some of the other brands that we had been using. No issues with the dogs. They are maintaining a healthy weight and don’t have any health issues while switching to this dog food.

Great replacement for discontinued small bites sane flavot
This is a little bigger in bite size than the small bites version that was discontinued. My girl is able to eat this size kibble without issue.I called the manufacturer. This is the same recipe as the discontinued small bites version

Good, But “Mealy”…
My dog Ramses really likes the Nature’s Recipe dog food, and I did too – fairly good ingredients and not a thousand of them, a good price point, and a happy, healthy fur baby. However, the last two bags I’ve purchased have been excessively mealy – mountains of meal – that are not only messy but inedible as my dog doesn’t like his food in granular form, and I can’t blame him, and has lowered the value of the food by raising the price per edible pound considerably. It’s been disappointing and frustrating. He ate Wag prior to this but when Amazon raised the price on their store brand to higher than name brands, I could no longer afford it nor wanted to – this was my substitute.

I have a big Plott hound, really big for the breed. (slim 75 pounds) He eats as he pleases, it is always fully available. After dogs and cats get used to the idea that they can eat as much or as little as they need, the manitain a helathy weight for the rest of their lives, but Veterinarians hate this practice. We have done this since 1985 and we have had no problems. Except one time we got a super skinny cat from the pound and he got fat like Garfield during the first year, he then slimmed down and stayed a healthy weight for the next 21 years. He was not fat or thin, but just right. I like the 24 pound bag because I can easily handle it. I pour it into a dispenser about once a month. The animal’s waste is healthy UNLESS somebody gives him other things to eat. I like this food for my dog. yes it is a little stinky on the day when I fill the container, but after the first 2 days, I don’t notice it and neither do others who visit.

Tasty for my food lover dog.
My dog is part Shepherd and part Akita and her big thing in life is food. She can smell the lamb and I think that’s what gets her. Excited about eating it. The price is comparable to other brands i’ve tried and she likes this one the best. The bonuses is that Amazon delivers!

My sensitive-stomach dog loves this food and does really great on it. Compact, non-runny poops are a big PLUS. Love this brand. I was using another brand from PetCo which was too expensive. This one is affordable and great quality. Fast-shipping.
