little effect on my wild cat
My cat is extremely active and constantly running around the house. Even when the family tries to rest, she is everywhere, jumping on furniture and chasing toys. I placed this diffuser next to her bed and left it on for about two weeks to see if it could help her calm down. Honestly, the effect has been very limited. She still dashes from room to room, and the bursts of energy at night remain almost unchanged. During the first few days, she mostly ignored the diffuser. Occasionally she sniffed it and walked away, showing no real interest. There were a few short moments when she lay quietly for ten or fifteen minutes, but these were rare and did not last. I tried moving it to another corner where she usually naps, but the results stayed the same. It does not seem to make her hyperactivity disappear, though I suppose leaving it near her bed does not harm either. For a very active cat like mine, the calming effect is minimal at best. Perhaps it could have more impact combined with other ways to help her relax, but by itself, it is not enough to make a noticeable difference in her daily energy.

easy refill
I ordered this refill because we already had a diffuser plugged in near our living room window, and it was finally time to swap out the old bottle. When the package arrived, I opened it up and was happy to see that everything was sealed neatly and didn’t have any messy leaks. Changing it out was quick. I unplugged the diffuser, twisted out the empty bottle, and screwed the new refill in. It lined up perfectly and didn’t require any force. After plugging it back into the outlet, it started warming up again just like before. There’s no strong or overwhelming smell, which I really appreciate since the diffuser sits in a room where we spend a lot of time. I usually place the diffuser on a low outlet near the floor, where my cat likes to hang out. Once it’s plugged in, I pretty much forget about it until it’s time to replace it again. It doesn’t make noise, doesn’t leak, and doesn’t leave any residue on the wall or outlet.The bottle size feels reasonable and lasts a good while before needing to be swapped. I like not having to constantly think about refills or check it every week. It just quietly does its thing in the background.

My jumpy cat is no longer jumpy!
I ordered this because I have one cat who is very scared, anxious, and jumpy. She was sick growing up and came from th shelter, so I think this affected her personality. She’s sweet, but very scared of everything. I was hoping that pheremones would help because I have 2 other cats and it seems so sad that the other 2 cats will do whatever they want, but she is always scared and jumping away at every sudden movement.As soon as this came in, I plugged it in. It comes with a diffuser and one refill, which has lasted me a surprising amount of time. The duck bill is a button which turns on a blue light which is when the pheremones are diffusing. I am not sure exactly how long it lasts, but it goes off on it’s own. I have to remember to turn it on again every once in a while, but other than that its easy to use. Once I started using this for a few days, I noticed that my jumpy cat was less quick to jump off the couch when I sat next to her, she would definitely look up immediately, but she wouldn’t jump up. The longer I used this, the more she would relax- its been about a month now and she will no longer jump up if someone sits next to her. I am not sure how this works, but it seems to be working really well! This looks like an air freshener plug in, no one would know what it is if they didn’t look. It IS a bit pricey, but its worth the price for a happy cat!

Different things affect different cats in different ways.
I needed to introduce a new member to my multi-cat household. He was a lonely feral cat that had been living in my backyard for five years, and just a couple of months ago, he let me touch and pet him. He is a large cat but very shy, and I was not sure how he would be accepted by other cats.I ordered OcePor cat pheromone diffuser and used it during cat meetings (the new cat was mostly isolated in the bedroom to adjust). The first and second day I didn’t notice any difference. He was met with curiosity from some cats, while others ran away to the garage and other rooms. The new cat was afraid to be with other cats and just sneakily tried to explore his new territory. The third day, he was more confident and much calmer. He finally met all the family and even found a place to nap. I think the diffuser contributed to the overall peaceful atmosphere. I had similar introductions in the past, and there was a lot of hissing. Not this time. I also noticed that other cats are very relaxed when the diffuser is on, almost to the point of laziness (to turn it on, you need to press the yellow beak/bill).In general, some cats do not even notice you have plugged something in, some cats it seems to help, and some cats it seems to frustrate. Diffusers depend on the cat and the situation. I would recommend these diffusers before trying the ones that have been around for decades and that cost around thirty dollars a piece. The diffusers from OcePor are very cute, in the form of little ducklings, and are an inexpensive way to see if a diffuser will help your situation. They are very well made and the price is worth trying.
