    Surprisingly durable, roomy, and lightweight
I just returned from a two-week backpacking trip overseas. While I checked my 30L backpack, I needed a carryon bag that I could also cram into my backpack for the hiking portion. I also used this pack to carry essentials for a night on the town, while leaving my larger pack in the hostel/albergue. This Osprey pack was exactly what I needed.Packability: I didn’t even bother folding this bag up; I just crammed it into the bottom of my pack, and it flattened down to nothing. I didn’t even notice it was there–It took up next to no room, and it weights next to nothing.Durability: this pack is very tough for having such thin, lightweight material. It holds up to abrasion and dirt, and it is even somewhat water resistant. This is not a pack that you can rip on a tree branch, or poke a pen through if you have one in your pack.Comfort: The chest strap (which also has a built-in whistle) and the shoulder straps distribute the weight evenly. Since this is a packable pack, there is no cushioning. So if you were to fill this backpack with sharp rocks, you will feel every one of them. I did wear this pack around a lot, and it was very comfortable to do so for several hours at a time.Capacity: I did worry that the airline would lose my checked hiking pack with all of my gear, so I filled this pack with a lot of stuff for the airplane, just in case. It fit a full change of clothes, a raincoat, microfiber towel, all my toiletries, an international AC adapter, two external batteries, cords, an iPhone and iPad mini, and half a dozen charging cords. Not to mention some snacks. And there is a water bottle holder on each side of the pack. I was able to fit a 1-liter Nalgene bottle in each of these. This is going to be my go-to backpack for this kind of travel for a long time.

    Excellent day pack
This is a great pack for going around in the city.I especially enjoy it when traveling. Even though it’s pretty small and compact, it can carry a couple of water bottles, a windbreaker, snacks and other stuff like that.

    Excellent Backpack
I have more than one of these. I like this new model more than the previous mainly because this includes a second water bottle pocket. I’ve used these bags for many things. Most recently, it has become my backpack for biking on the trails. It’s light, water resistant and comfortable. I’ve maybe carried up to 20 pounds in it and it still looks new. This is a great bag and has been very durable. The shoulder straps balance the load well. There isn’t any structure to its “frame,” but that doesn’t deter from its comfort – you can always put something in it, included a foam pad, but I never had needed to). It looks like the day I got it…and it’s going through some rain, heat, sweat and being tossed around. The seams are taped and provide some water resistance (the Osprey Dry Sack is someone more water resistant as it has a folding top, similar to a true dry bag).It packs down relatively small, but unless you’re carrying something else (jacket, purse, large cargo pockets, luggage), I wouldn’t say this is “packable on your person”.I highly recommend if you like lightweight stuff. It also comes with a lifetime warranty if something does happen to it…which I don’t see happening anytime soon.

    Value
I love this great little pack. So light weight and easy to carry when not in use. Went to Italy for a month and it was perfect for your impromptu shopping trips. It’s more bang for the buck as it holds way more than it looks. Along with comfortable on the shoulders. Easy to zip to get in and out of and withstand every day use.

Not as useful as older model
It’s hard to write a review for everybody. If a product isn’t what I was looking for should I ignore the quality and review based on how I feel? Don’t get me wrong. I like Osprey. I have bought at least a dozen Osprey products in the last five years. But, they discontinued a product I adored and I have been kicking myself for not buying several in the beginning. In the photos, the one on the left, the more yellowish green, went with me on the Camino and as a daypack for maybe 100 shorter hikes. It is completely watertight and it has a roll top. It’s the perfect daypack for me even though in the hot sun it gets soaked with sweat, because everything inside stays dry. And it’s easy to rinse out and clean. The one on the right is not my favorite color, it doesn’t have the roll top, and it’s smaller. However, the straps on the front seem to be sturdier than on my old one. It’s ultralight, which makes a difference for balance and longer hikes. It’s also half the cost. I will keep it and use it for travel because I don’t care if I lose it. I would be very sad if I lost my old one.Update: I reread the review and think that the 4 stars is still reasonable. It’s very lightweight and fits stuffed into it’s inner pocket. It’s probably waterproof and useful for people who want to just stash it for occasional use. But, I returned it because I just didn’t like it. I don’t think it’s designed for Osprey users who look for functionality, like the roll top. Maybe they are trying to appeal to a new market. I think it’s important to look at that when shopping for gear, so instead of deleting my review I am keeping it.

Perfect bag for walking about while traveling in a city.
Bought this to Pack for a trip to Italy to use as a day pack when necessary. I feared it would be uncomfortable, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. This is easily the best small bag. I’ve purchased in a long long time. Packs up to nearly nothing and fits in my wife’s purse. Then when we bought things, I was able to quickly open it up and fill it.I will keep this in my truck to use anytime the need pops up for a bag. Highly recommended. And at the price, it’s an amazing value.

    Nice light weight packable bag
Awesome bag. Super light weight, very thin but pretty durable for what it is. The straps are comfortable and it can hold a good amount as well, was able to bring two full sized towels out to go swimming while on vacation. The orange color is very but I like it. It also folds up surprisingly easily which is great.

This pack is a perfect complement to my larger travel pack and fits easily inside it when I’m travelling. I’ve used it several times on extremely hot days on full-day hikes. I’m not sure if sharper objects would tear the pack, but I’m not going to tempt fate!

Ktos kto to wymyslił powinien zmienic prace, naprawde. Poprzedniego bylem w stanie ladnie zlozyc w pare sekund, tego nawet w minute nie mozna nawet jak chce sie go zlożyc byle jak, “w kulkę”. No tragedia…
