Does the job!
I had one other that lasted for years. Yes, there is rust there which I didn’t expect, but I don’t think the rust comes off as you are scrubbing with the sponges. I will rate it a 5 for now! I purchased 2 of them and have one in use that will be the third years using it.

Perky-Pet 23T Bird Feeder Foam Cleaning Mop
This is a great item for helping to keep your Humming Bird feeder clean. Mine did get a little loose with the first use, so I remedied that by using a pair of pliers to crimp the metal loop a little tighter, after that it was just great. Keep in mind this tool is a little flimsy, but that is what makes it flexible to be able to get to all the surfaces in the hour glass shaped bottle.

Mop a Flop
I had looked a long time for a decent way to clean out the skinny-necked hummingbird feeders I keep. When I bought the Perky-Pet 23T, I hoped my dreams had come true. Imagine how my dreams crushed to the ground like bits of broken black-oil sunflower seed when on the second use — the 23T fell apart, like clouds separating in the wind.I do give the item one star, since I used it successfully once. But the design is embarrassingly ill-configured: a metal hoop into which the spongy is just stuffed. Or at least that’s what I could tell when the two pieces fell apart upon the second use. I hadn’t jammed roughly, hadn’t bashed or jumbled or crushed or any other harsh actions. On the second occasion — I pulled the thing out after gently washing, and the sponge and the metal holder were in two unrelated places.Not to be totally negative, I plan on tying a piece of cotton onto the remaining metal “hook” and making do from there. Maybe I’ll call it “rag on a stick.” In truth, the 23-T isn’t terribly expensive. But I will make sure I have clean hummer feeders.I remain a big Perky-Pet fan, and will continue ordering their feeders, which I truly think are excellent. But I’m afraid this particular product needs to go back to the drawing board.

Mostly good, but a couple of issues
It reached nicely into my hummingbird feeder jars and did a good job cleaning. However, I don’t like the fact that the sponges easily come off, and the metal loop that holds them rusts and stains the sponges.

Perfect cleaner for feeders
Fits into glass feeder for cleaning, reaching those difficult sides of a cylinder feeder. Perfect. I never use soap, just hot water.

Be gentle
This is not a durable cleaner. The sponge is more of a foam type. I am using for hummingbird feeders and just being careful. The foam sections probably won’t last long unfortunately. This item is way over priced for what it is made of.

Hummingbird mop
It works wonderfully on all types of hummingbird feeders. Is easy to use. I like it better than a bristle brush, no spray when pulling it back out the feeder.

I have the traditional Perky Pet red bottle hummingbird feeder and sometimes a bit of black mold builds up on the side. I’ve tried so many bottle cleaners hoping to get the right one but none of them performed, I even bought an easier to clean hummingbird feeder but the hummers didn’t seem to like it. I wasn’t expecting much when I ordered it but it works!! I had to bend the handle to get the mold but the handle is very durable

My feeder is very long and square and this sponge cleans all the corners with no difficulties.
