Convenient brush design with OK results
Anyone who has a small dog like our chihuahua knows a couple things: how nasty their teeth can get, and how difficult it can be for them to let you brush their teeth. I can definitely appreciate the design of this toothbrush pen, combining the cleaning gel and brush all in one small, fully contained product.We’ve been testing the pen with our little guy off and on, switching back and forth between another enzymatic toothpaste product. While this pet toothbrush pen scores higher for ease of application for me (it’s a much smaller and sneakier way to get in our pup’s maw) and its bristles are conveniently facing the same direction of the pen and not perpendicular like a traditional toothbrush, we’ve still noticed better cleaning results from using a traditional (albeit small chihuahua sized) toothbrush and a run of the mill, enzymatic dog toothpaste.I think this will make a better addition to our doggie go-bag, due to its small and convenient size. In case we ever find ourselves traveling and needing to freshen the little guys chompers up. But otherwise, I think we’ll stick with the more difficult task of brushing “manually” and without this pen for the most part.

Toothbrush pen applicator is nice, but read the ingredients list first.
I was interested in this toothbrush pen because it seemed like it would be easy to use and the effectiveness of the brush would make it way easy in cleaning my dog’s teeth. The pen was easy to hold, but I was initially confused by how long it took me to twist the bottom of the pen so that the toothpaste would come out of the brush area. One thing to note is that there isn’t a freshness type of seal to peel off, so the toothpaste product was already open, but all I had to do was twist the bottom quite a lot for the product to come out.Also, when I was about to use this toothbrush pen on my dog’s teeth, I decided to look at the ingredients since this was a new product for me, but I noticed that it was mostly different from the enzymatic toothpaste that I currently use on my dog.Some ingredients looked concerning such as the “nano SI02-05” and the “WDJ-38” ingredients. I didn’t know what those were until I looked it up, the former is some type of silicon dioxide and the latter is hard to find information on. What’s most concerning was that they used “ETC.” at the end of the ingredients list. So, if the product wasn’t showing off the full list of ingredients and ends it with “etcetera”, then I would definitely take a step back and reconsider using it especially on a dog that I love.

Easy to use but strange ingredients.
Functionality: The pen was a bit confusing at first. I kept twisting until the gel came out.Brushability: If your dog is not afraid of it like mine was, you simply brush it onto their teeth.Taste: My dog didn’t seem to not like the taste. Was just curious of it.Size: The pen fits in your hand and is small like a pen to store.Quality: I did not see ingredients listed when ordering. I can now see some ingredients I do not know what they are. I also noticed other reviews stating the confusion of ingredients and weather they are safe. I will probably not use this any longer due to the weird ingredient list- Nano SiO2-05, WDJ-38, ETC.
