When you first buy your PETLIBRO automatic pet feeder or any other pet feeder that requires this type of desiccant bag the feeder comes with a different type of desiccant bag for temporary use. So when I was ready to replace the bag I had no reference or guidance on which way the bag goes. The bag has two sides. The PETLIBRO products are made well. 100% from their water fountains to their dry/wet feeders the problem is the lack of instructions. When left to chance and you do use common sense things go wrong. The products work so well they require specific ways of connecting them to replacing their filters otherwise they don’t work like they are suppose to. If it weren’t for a you tube video on which way the water filter goes installed I would not know. Unfortunately I could not find any assurance on line or through Amazon for how and which way these bags go installed. I was left to communicate to the product manufacturer directly. Heads up they are friendly but require so much information for one questions. They don’t assist you without sales receipt, model number, machine SN and picture of the bottom or side of your device. They require it each time you reach out as they don’t save your info like other warranties.

PETLIBRO to the Rescue!
This automatic Feeder is awesome. First, very easy to set up and get it operational… Second, the cloud services are worth the price given what I needed at the time (I did have a difficult time getting the SD Card to work) as I required access to the camera and recordings remotely. Now the story of why this feeder will go down as the best thing we’ve ever purchased for our animals. Our cat, a 12 weeks old playful tabby named Mango, ran away 3 days after we received the PETLIBRO feeder and unfortunately we had to leave our house for 8 days for a family emergency. So, we were not able to stick around and put food out while we “hoped” that he would return. Enter the PETLIBRO. I placed the feeder outside on our deck and scheduled the feeder to dispense food twice a day. I started with 2/12 of a cup per feeding as I did not want to overflow the bowl within the first several days and with the live camera feed, I was able to monitor the amount in the bowl and stop feedings as needed – great feature BTW. Low and behold, he returned 14 days later on Christmas day evening (video included) as I was notified by an alert on my phone. From that point forward he would return every night at the scheduled feeding time. I believe he heard the feeder dispense the food and that trigger him to come out of hiding (we have several foxes running around). We were not able to return home for several more days so the entire family couldn’t wait each night to get the alert that Mango was back for more food and we all gathered around my phone to watch him walk around and eat. We when returned home the entire family set Operation Recover Mango in motion and used the PETLIBRO to alert us when he arrived – we set it up to feed 1/12 cup every two minutes and monitoring the camera during the 15 minute timeframe he typically came to feed. Needless to say it was a success and Mango is back home in his comfy cat bed. I’m surprised at how much food is kept fresh in its reservoir as it did last our entire trip (8 days). Its also very sturdy as it endured severe weather for over 10 days; multiple below 17 degree days, rain, snow, and high winds! It is now back inside and Mango comes running when the feeder starts to dispense food. Will go down in family pet history as a magical. Thank you PETLIBRO!

Functions that I didn’t know I needed
I bought this for my cats and have been using it for a couple of weeks. So far I am loving it! I’ve had other auto feeders before, but this one just takes it to the next level. First of all I love the ability to connect it to my phone through WiFi, to be notified of feeding, look through the built in camera to see how my cat is eating, speak with my pets using the built in mic, and get notified on sound detections, food jam etc. I won’t ever fear if my feeder stops working while I am on vacation. It looks sleek with built quality as well, having a see through front to easily track how much food is left and when to fill it up. I would definitely recommend this, as a quality reliable feeder and as well as an additional camera and meal tracker.

Not Compatible with Petlibro One
Box says “for all petlibro feeders” and this is NOT true. It does NOT fit in the Petlibro One feeder. I could not find anywhere to get the smaller satchets like the single one that comes with the Petlibro One, so I ordered this. This version is even what’s suggested as a subscription on their own website. It does not fit!! The little door on the desiccant holder does not close and I don’t want to leave this just literally sitting on top of the cat food because that’s what would happen.

Smart, reliable pet feeder for din dinz and breakkie time
This automatic feeder has been super useful for my dog, who eats twice a day along with a small late snack at night. I love that you can get precise with the food portions and pace the feedings as you see fit. It’s kinda loud when it’s churning out the kibble which sometimes freaks my dog out, so one star off for that. I bought the stainless steel slow feeder attachment and it’s very high quality stainless steel. Its funny that you can speak to your pets remotely though the machine but I can’t recommend it for all dogs or cats. I tried talking to him one night while I was out with friends and I think we really spooked him haha, not doing that again! But overall it’s a great relief to know he’s getting fed at the same time every day. Now when I say din dinz he looks over to the machine and starts wagging his deal like mad 🙂

Overpriced Food Desiccant Bags
These are just food desiccant bags, and they’re consumables that get used up quickly. I really don’t understand why they’re so expensive. The problem is, I haven’t noticed any difference or special quality compared with other desiccant bags.

Works wonderfully. Consistent, up to 4 meal times a day. Easy to program. I wouldn’t bother setting up the voice, it’s very loud every time and cat responds to good noise. You can’t delete sound and taking batteries out doesn’t reset.For my cat, food storage lasts 3 weeks and cat can’t get in. Running off batteries also great if no powerpointI’m using in Australia and works great. Power is a usb end so you just need to pickup a $5 usb power point, or just use your phone one.

I had initially thought that this was 6 packs of 4 each. But it’s just 6 items in the pack for almost £20. I doubt that this costs more than 20p to manufacture. And they want you to replace them every 2 weeks!

Nice and easy to use feeder, with camera that you can see through an app. Really nice to have feeder which has allowed us to easily portion control our cat which needed to eat slightly less. Camera feature is great for when you out of the house and need some reassurance your cat is still getting and eating it’s food! Being able to easily change the portions and schedule is great from the app, rather than having to fiddle around with any buttons on the device. Does seem to occasionally go offline for a while, not sure if this is from software updates, but happens every few weeks
