Proud Momma to 4 –
Fun but not for unsupervised play!
The kittens love this! It works on carpet and thick shag carpet on the highest speed. There are no instructions with this whatsoever so you just kinda have to figure it out on your own. Mine also did not have any sort of charger but I had a few laying around .(earbud charger seemed to work) the pic also shows 2 “tails” , mine only had 1. It screws in which is nice and makes it a bit harder for the kitties to pull out ( but they still have managed to do so!) From what I can tell, there is no color change indicator to tell when it’s fully charged it just glows a VERY bright red the entire time. I initially charged it overnight in my great room and could see the light from under my bedroom door at the other end of the house! It’s hard to tell how long the battery lasts because it turns off after presumably no interaction and so far it only takes 5 mins for it to get itself stuck somewhere! I only notice when it gets quiet ( it is pretty loud hitting things and makes a “chirp” noise that I haven’t found a way to turn off) it has easily rolled itself under some furniture that is just high enough for the ball but not kittens. If you have a large home hunting this ball down could take you hours to days or more to find it because it doesn’t give you any sort of audible warning before it dies and no way to activate it to make a sound without manually touching it. Once it goes to “sleep” it does NOT reactivate by touch, you have to physically hold the power button to turn it back on. That stinks because then they are tearing up the tail. But for the price, it’s worth getting a few as spares ( while you hunt or wait for the MIA’s to turn up) because the cats really love it! Aside from those lil quirks, there is not an option for constant on… so there is a significant pause on each and every setting , so the kittens pick it up ( by the tail) and carry / drag it around and then the wheel starts spinning and our long haired cat has gotten her fur tangled in with it and it did NOT turn off! So this is definitely NOT a unsupervised play toy!

we love this product in my house. my cat and dogs love it and helps them stay active and entertained when we are busy. It makes little mouse noises and comes with an extra feather attachment. we were shocked with how great of quality this was for the price. would recommend!

Excellent toy to keep your kitten busy!
Excellent toy to keep my new kitten busy when I can’t entertain him. The only reason why I didn’t give it 4 stars is because: 1. It is loud! It chirps like a bird and that gets amazingly annoying after about 10-15 minutes. 2. It gets stuck under furniture. It moves fast in a straight line then does a little zig zag. It even stops and the tail vibrates for a little bit. It is well worth the money and has not broken with a lot of kitten rough play! If I can firgure out how to upload a video I will try to upload one showing how it moves.

Toy is a defective dud
My cat really wanted to like this toy. I wanted my cats and kittens to have a toy that was fun, engaging and intellectually stimulating. Instead we got a dud. The ball hits the surrounding plastic frame and does not roll. None of the cats wanted to play with this noisy, flashing lights, ball that wouldn’t roll even when they pat it with their paw. I guess it goes in the reject pile.

Not charging
