Great quality and easy to install
I got a new car and don’t want our dog on the new leather seats, but he needs to be able to come with us when we go somewhere. I found this and it works perfect. I didn’t need the two extender pieces, I have a Mazda cx-5. It was super easy to install with two people. It might be a little harder with just one person but still doable. It is very secure, he can’t jump over the seat or even put his paws on them. He can peak his little head out on the sides to get some air if the window is down. It’s perfect for our needs. I just keep it up at all times. I was worried the straps might hurt or indent the leather but it doesn’t at all. And if you cinch the straps down tight, it won’t budge. It doesn’t rattle or anything. I highly recommend this. And Bear does too, he’s happy he can come along with the family.

I’m going to be honest – I didn’t buy the rabbitgoo Dog Car Barrier to keep my furry friend in the back seat. It works for me
It will work for my needs. I got this because one of my pittie mixes likes to jump up to the front from his travel crate (which has a zip opening on the top) that I keep in the cargo area. The install of this barrier was fairly easy, but would have been easier with another person. I did not need to use the two extra side pieces that came in the box for my 2017 Nissan Rogue. There is a small, maybe 4-inch or so gap on each side of the barrier, but obviously neither of my dogs will be able to fit through that. I am satisfied with my purchase and am glad I did not spend money on a fancier $70 version. I have not noticed any rattling when driving as other reviewers have stated, but this probably has a lot to do with the fact that I didn’t use the side pieces so there is really no metal on metal potential for noise. I knocked off a star as this isn’t the sturdiest but it will certainly prevent a dog from jumping up to the front and, if secured with the belts around the headrests properly, will not fall off. I sort of wish there was a way to secure the top of the barrier to the ceiling of the car, but honestly this won’t make any big difference in this thing doing its job. I am happy with my purchase.

Good solution for a 2016 Acura MDX
This grate was the perfect, sturdy solution I needed. My dogs ride in the second row seats, in a dog hammock, wearing harnesses with tethers hooked to the child seat attachment rail. This allows them to sit or lie down, and keeps them out of the front seats.But when we switched from a sedan to an SUV, we discovered that my young knucklehead could jump over his seatback into the third row / cargo area. Fortunately, he wasn’t injured, but he was immobilized by his tether and was very uncomfortable until we managed to get him free. We needed something to keep him in his seat, and it had to be sturdy!This grate was perfect. I appreciated that it came with the attachment plates already assembled on the center section, so I didn’t have to figure out how they worked. I just took them off, lined up the side sections to fit, and reattached them. A couple of tips:1. Measure your car’s width in the installation area, then line up the side sections to fit. By the time I took the grate out to the car, it was already set to the perfect width.2. You need a second person to help attach the grate. One person should be behind the grate fastening straps, and one in the second row holding the grate steady and passing back the strap ends. You can do the installation in about 30 seconds with two people cooperating.I wasn’t sure if just two attachment points would be stable enough, but my strong young doggo (on the right in the photo) got excited and hit it pretty hard one time, and I didn’t even have to tighten the straps afterwards. After that one time, he stopped testing it, so he must have decided it was pretty sturdy.It also looks OK, is easy to see through, and doesn’t rub against the car. It ought to fit just about any vehicle, since it attaches to the headrests. You could remove it very quickly if necessary, and people could still ride in the third row with this grate installed. Very happy with this solution!

Easy installation and effective
I received my dog gate yesterday. I immediately opened the package and installed it myself. I am a 65 year old female.An extra set of hands would have been nice to hold the gate in place while I strapped it around the head rests, but not necessary. Next , I put a dog bed in the cargo area of my 2014 CRV and had both med/large dogs jump in. I grabbed my husband to take a drive andnmake sure there were no rattling noises. The price was very reasonable and the installation was easy. I had a gate years ago that is still available with plungers and bars. This is way easier and less expensive.

Two straps to secure it and one was unusable
Once everything was set the way it needed to be, it looked great. Time will tell if it holds up. Being that one of the buckles was bent and unusable, it leaves doubt in my mind as to the quality overall. The way the buckle was bent kept it from opening enough to allow the strap to go through it. After I forced it open enough, it wouldn’t close back.

Easy to put up and take down in the car. I have a 2024 bronco and use it between the front and rear seats. Fits well in the vehicle. Does its job keeping my little gremlin back so he’s not licking my face while driving.
