Puts out a ton of heat
Works excellent so far. Keeps my 8×6 brooder very warm on the highest setting. I had a whole flock of chicks that had just recently feathered catch a virus in the cold. I had one of the wall type coop heaters. I lost 4 birds and the. Switched to this heater and not a single loss since. Time will tell how long it lasts as I’m certainly putting it to the test

Not worth the money, doesn’t heat well
These lamps are well put together and start up immediately. But the heat put out by them is minimal. It isn’t enough to keep the inside of an enclosed coop (we use 10×20 prebuilt wood sheds) above freezing overnight in 30 degree temperatures. The vents are sealed up and doors are closed before the temperature goes below freezing with the heaters on inside. When I go to check them before the doors open, the water buckets inside are frozen solid. I would not buy again.

High Heat Setting Doesn’t Work
I have been using this in my temporary greenhouse at night to keep it warm. On the low setting with all the greenhouse side panels closed, it can get about 8 degrees warmer than the outside temp. With the greenhouse side vents open, it gets about 5 degrees warmer than outside temp. Only reason I am rating it 3 stars is because the high heat seating has never worked, so if I need it warmer when it gets really cold I’m out of luck
