Handy toolset to remove ticks and splinters
I picked up this tick removal toolset because ticks are a real concern for both people and pets, especially in warmer months. They can carry illnesses like Lyme disease and are most common in wooded or grassy areas across the eastern and central U.S.This set includes tweezers and tick removal tool that make it easier to remove ticks safely. The pieces feel sturdy and work well for both small and large ticks. A tick identification card is included. It’s marketed as premium but I would say the build quality is average at best. It’ll do the job. Overall, it’s a useful and affordable kit to keep on hand for outdoor activities or pet care. I’d rate it 4 out of 5 stars.

    Awesome tool!
I was stripping the ticks and leaving the heads trying to get them off of my dogs with tweezers . This little tool has been working fantastic. Just slide it under the ticks body and pull straight up. Easy! I definitely would recommend this.

This is a review of “SIVOTE Premium Tick Remover Kit”
I haven’t had to use this kit yet, but I feel prepared knowing it’s on hand. The tools are made from stainless steel, which makes them easy to disinfect and sterilize after use. I especially like that it comes with sharp, precision tweezers that have a safety cap for protection, as well as a V-shaped fork with a handy non-slip texture on the handle. Everything fits neatly into a felt-lined pouch, keeping the tools safe and together, which is perfect for tossing into a first-aid kit or taking on the go. Plus, it includes a helpful tick identification card. The only minor downside was that the identification card arrived slightly bent, but that doesn’t affect the quality of the essential removal tools themselves. Overall, this is a compact, quality kit that provides peace of mind.

    Works great!
This is a great tick removing tool! It’s a must have if you have a dog!The remover tool gets adult ticks off quickly and the tweezers are great for baby ticks. They move so fast so be careful using the tweezers because they are super sharp!Since they are made out of stainless they are very durable and can be washed easily. The size is great and they are easy to use.

Good value, good quality, nice case, very fine tweezers.
This is a good value for a very nice, good quality tick removal set in a nice case with a tick removal instruction and identification card included. The instruction card helps you identify the ticks by the type and life-stage. It also shows you how to use the lifter to remove them.It comes in a nice, small, compact snap closure case. It’s a good sized case for your home use or to carry with you for travel or camping. It’s a faux leather style case. The style and set is rated for use on both humans and pets. I would want to use a set only on humans vs pets. I’d want my pet tick removal set to be items I didn’t use on myself or other humans. So you may want a set for humans and a different set for pets. There are two pieces in the case. A lifter style remover and a very fine, curved pair of tweezers. Both of them are good quality and well made of stainless steel metal. The tweezers are very fine and the right size for smaller ticks. The tweezers do have a small plastic, removable, clear tweezers end cover. Both of the items have a good feel and grip to them and are easy to hold and use during use. You’ll want to clean them after each use and dry them. You could use soap and water and dry it. Or use rubbing alcohol in a spray or on a pad to wipe it clean.I’ve tried the larger flat “tick spoons” or “tick keys” before both on myself and my pets. I’ve never been able to get them to work, this is going to be a lot easier.Smaller ticks like deer ticks will likely be easier to remove with the super fine tweezers. Larger ticks like Lone Star ticks you can use either the tweezers or the lifter remover.Be sure and read the included direction card. I ended up taking a hair elastic of my own (not included) and wrapping it around the storage case. With the lifter remover you need to have it facing the proper direction with the flat area on your skin. Think of using a kitchen spatula on a pan to lift (not scrape) something in the way you face it toward your skin but you keep it flat against your skin to lift. Think of using it as a lifter to pull the tick out not a scraper to push it out. It’s going to work better for some ticks than others depending on size and how deep the tick is in the skin. It’s going to be, as it always is, very important to look closely and carefully on how the tick is placed in the skin. You’ll want to be sure you pull from the proper direction away from where it’s in your skin. You don’t want to push it forward vs pull the tick out. You grasp away from it’s mouth where it’s attached to the skin and pull away. You may want to look up videos on how to safely remove a tick.Be very careful when removing a tick. Don’t squeeze the tick with the tweezers or they can when squeezed release their contents and bacteria (no nice way to say it) into the bite while they are attached to the skin.I have seen this happen (you can see it if the tick is big enough, the tick kind of “spasms”) when removing a tick from a family member. It was a particularly strongly and deeply attached tick and this happened. The family member did end up needing to seek proper medical care and antibiotics from the tick bite.Be sure to look closely to be sure all of the tick is removed. I usually use a magnifying glass to be sure. If you see any pieces of the tick left, use the tweezers to remove them. Sometimes you have to get the pieces out over a few days like splinter parts, they can take a few days to work their way out of the skin.I like to use a Hypochlorous Acid wound disinfecting spray on my tick bites. I’d suggest any of the SkinSmart Hypochlorous Acid sprays. They don’t sting and help with the irritation, itching and redness. I use them for any wound or skin issue and there’s a lot of good science behind Hypochlorous Acid.Remember to always identify the type of ticks in your area (or where you’re visiting) for the issues, illnesses and complications bites can cause. If you live in a deer tick area, you’ll have to watch for the bullseye rash of Lyme disease or symptoms. Even if you don’t get a rash, it can still make you feel ill. (Saying this as someone this happened to recently after a deer tick bite.)If you live in a Lone Star tick area watch for not only issues from the bite but later issues (even weeks, months later) of feeling ill or having symptoms from eating some meats and animal proteins (beef, pork products). If you notice this, look up Alpha-Gal syndrome and see if you may need to look into getting medical testing and care for it or advice on making dietary modifications. (Also saying this as someone who now has issues if I eat either beef or pork and it started after a tick bite.)Always watch any tick bite for bite related illness, redness, swelling or issues that can indicate infection or systematic tick-born illness. It’s better to seek care quicker than later for a tick bite, especially in some areas where those illnesses are more known to be prominent in the ticks. If you’re hiking, camping or working in an area with a known or suspected high tick population, I’d suggest looking into using a tick repellent spray to prevent tick bites. Wearing long sleeves, long pants tucked into your boots also helps.Always check yourself for ticks quickly after activities that may expose you to ticks. The sooner you remove a tick, the less chance statistically it has to cause complications or illness, though it can still happen. The case and set didn’t have any odor to it. I would consider it safe for those sensitive to scents.

Premium quality even the case, but the case says lashes
This really should be a 5 star rating because these tick remover tools are a medium heavy quality metal, and comes with an instruction sheet. Even the case seems quality, but I do have to minus a star because the advertised case in the pictures says tick remover on the case, but the case I received says lashes. So they must make eye lash tools as well. I’m fine with the case, but have to minus a star because the item should be of gift giving appearance. If you add this to a gift bag or whatever, the name on the case really should represent what the product is. . Basically 5 star for me, but 4 star for the general customer in case they are thinking of this as a possible gift item to be aware the case may have the wording of eye lash tools.

A very well made tick removal tool and tweezers. The tweezers are very fine-tipped and precise, so they should be good for removing young/small ticks (as well as slivers etc). The build quality of both tools is excellent.I docked this kit one star because the tick removal tool doesn’t taper to a fine enough point in the center to remove small ticks. They will pass right through it. The instructions recommend using the tweezers for small ticks but the main tool could’ve been made to be suitable for ticks of all sizes.
