Good Tick Remover – Pull, Don’t Squeeze!
This is a good idea for tick removal. Using tweezers often results on squeezing the tick contents into the person or animal the tick is attached to and that increases the odds of getting an infection. Tweezers often leave pieces of the tick behind as well. This product allows you to get under the tick and pull straight up so you get the whole tick off without squeezing it. I’ve used it numerous times and it works well. It can be hard when the tick is flipping around since you have to get perpendicular to the body to get it to work so you just have to keep moving the scoop until you get it where it will work. My biggest complaint is the choice of colors. I pretty much use the light colored ones because it’s easier to see the tick. I can’t really use the dark colored ones so I feel those are a bit of a waste in the multi-pack. It’s also a little harder to clean since it’s plastic. I have a similar product in metal and that one is easier to clean, plus it’s a little smaller. I would recommend having these or a similar product with you all the time during tick season.

Fantastic product, packaging needs improved
I love this product. It is truly fantastic and works even better then you can imagine. I use these in my healthcare clinic and it reduces the time to remove a tick from 5 – 10 minutes to about 5 seconds. It removes them so cleanly that the ticks seriously attempt to walk away. This tool reduces the chance of Lymes disease and certainly the trauma and suffering of patients who are terrified they have a tick attached and sucking their blood. This tool is hard plastic and can be disinfected as with any hard plastic with disinfecting solution process. I teach patients and families to use the tool and hopefully they will refrain from other dangerous methods such as trying to burn them off with a cigarette. I see this type of burn with ticks, especially with children who have well-meaning but misguided parents ( it was my parents go to method as well, right along with kerosene, see the problem with that regimen?). This is the third set I have purchased to give to friends and family and colleagues. The only problem I have with the product is the packaging. The glue that holds down the plastic encasing is shoddy and does not hold up. My last two were broken on arrival and I had a box of tick tools in disarray. Still, the product is so great it still deserves 5 stars. I do hope the packaging flaw can be fixed. I will likely be ordering more of these soon.

THEY WORK GREAT BETTER THEN TWEEZERS!
My veterinarian gave me a sample of these and I actually wound up buying them on Amazon. I keep them everywhere upstairs downstairs no matter what they come out in the spring! Ticks show up everywhere on my legs, in my groin, on my side, in my back…thank God for these tick spoon removal tools. It makes life so much easier than using tweezers. I really really recommend this tool I get about 26 a year on my body.

These little spoons, are the best, most sufficient way to remove ticks.Forget trying to use tweezers, these really d o the trick!!!!
