This is actually a great flight carrier, compares well against more expensive ones.
I have two cats I plan to fly with soon to move across country. So I bought this one and another that’s similar. Side by side they are nearly identical in size, but this one has higher expansion on top and two expansions on the side, versus just one side expansion on the other. The material is a little thinner than the other, but not by much. I’ve been taking them on car rides to get them ready, one kitty travels really well, the other not so much. Uggh.PROS:- Zippers have clip locking latches to keep from being pulled apart.- More expansion than others. Top expansion is great, just pull it up for extra headroom.- Has black out flaps that roll down to cover the outside of the walls and velcro to the bottom to keep them in place, helping to desensitize your kitties from everything going on, still offering plenty of ventilation.- Removable hard bottom insert with zippered soft cloth cover for easy washing. Also easy to wrap with wee pads just incase.- Pocket to tuck in some supplies, like toys, wipes or treats etc.- Removable shoulder strap, soft top carry handle.CONS:- No petting holes or grating. I wish there was a some kind of more open grating or holes to stick your fingers through, like with hard carriers. When traveling I often pet my cats with my finger through the carrier front gate, it always seems to calm them.Just finished the flight – All in all this carrier worked really well for my larger sized Bengal cat. 1 hour in car, 1 hour at airport, 5 hour flight, 1 hour in car. Although she usually cries the entire time during transport she quieted down well, the car seems to bother her the most. I put the side blackout flaps down and covered the top with her favorite blanket. I made sure she could see me and opened the top just enough to put my hand inside and pet her when she seemed nervous or started to cry. Worked like a charm. No meds, not recommended by airlines and many vets. She never tried to escape and I just pet her from time to time in the car, during flight and in the airports. The carrier held up well, and when I wasn’t petting her I closed the hatches and used the locking zipper clips just incase. Glad we got through it.

Super great. meets KLM requirements. Has lots of little helpful additions. Nicely made. The zippers move easily and have little clips to secure the carrier from opening. Floor interior is very soft and yummy. We are getting them cats ready for a transatlantic flight next month and we will follow the plan for acclimating them

NICE! Not tall enough, but good for international airlines!
Very nice carrier. I bought it because the height is a little shorter to meet the requirements of Air Serbia. Because of that, my two 4 1/2 month old kittens couldn’t really stand up, but they could move around. I flew business class and was able to open the sides during the long flight.

Fits for Lufthansa pet in cabin flights
Amazing carrier! So many features and thoughtful details, I really love it. The first and most important thing for me was that it perfectly matches airline requirements (Lufthansa’s carrier dimensions must not exceed 55 x 40 x 23 cm (22 x 16 x 9 in)), which I’ll be using to fly with my cat to Europe. It’s about 0.5 inches taller than Lufthansa’s listed limit, but since it’s soft-sided, it compresses easily and fits perfectly under the seat. There’s plenty of airflow and lots of space inside for my cat to feel comfortable. Highly recommend!

perfect for in-cabin underseat usage with 9.5 inches height limit
the size is perfect for underneath on Alaska Airlines 737 fleet. the expandable sides are great for the doggy to roam around a bit while waiting for the flight inside the terminal. The pop up top mesh area let the dog is just the right size and shape for our puppy to see in all directions with just sticking his head up
