Works like described
Got just in time for a freeze. If dog could talk she would say thank you!! Heats igloo dog house very nice. Being able to control thermostat is a plus.

Very pleased with this heater. First impression is that this is a substantial heater, measuring about 9 inches diameter and about 4 inches thick (eyeball measurements). So I mounted it high on one wall inside my home-built wooden doghouse, ran the temp sensor close to the ceiling away from the heater blower, and routed the power cord and control box outside the doghouse. Not sure if the control box is weatherproof so it’s mounted under the roof overhang protected from rain and snow. After two weeks of use I have to say it works perfectly in the below freezing weather we’ve been having, turning off and on automatically to maintain the doghouse temp to within 4 degrees of the setting. My doghouse has a flap door which helps hold in the heat so the heater only has to cycle on occasionally. The only ding so far is that it does not remember the setting after a power failure, not a deal breaker for me. If my impression changes then this review will be updated.

Great Heater!
This heater is great! I first tried it out in my small bathroom, and it heated it up 5 degrees in less than 10 minutes. I use this for my dogs small house. I’m in NC, so we get some nights that arr in the teens, Io longer have to worry if I had a strong enough heat lamp bulb. I just set the temperature, and it will NEVER fall below below the set temp. I normally set the temp at 65, and leave it there. This heater is like a wall mountable hair dryer. It blows out warm air, until the temperature reaches the set temp, then it cuts itself off.I’ve had this heater about 2 weeks, and highly recommend it. I searched for a very long time, and have finally found the best!

Great heater
Heater works great and has no problem heating my large dog house for my 2 dogs. The heater raised the temperature from 27 degrees to 60 degrees within 15 minutes. I could have set the temperature warmer if needed. The sound made from the heater and fan was a low hum.

I believe it to be a true 3 star selection. It does the job, but I have had better, with better designs.GOOD: It heats, the thermostat works and shuts off when the temp is reached. The heater itself seems to be well made and of heavier gauge metal.BAD: Poor cord design mainly. I truly believe that my 4 dollar, 125w red heat bulb in a chicken coop reflector hung from the ceiling of the dog house worked better. If you drill a hole for the cord plug, you still can’t get the thermostat to through for an outside mount. It is a MUCH larger diameter. Maybe it’s not water resistant. I used wire clips, wrapped the excess around the back of the heater bracket where it is cool, zip tied the thermostat and sensor to the interior wall, and ran it out the door of the doghouse. The screws included poke through the outside of a single wall, non insulated doghouse. I used carriage bolts after drilling out the bracket holes to facilitate 1/4 inch, 1.5 inch bolts with nuts and washers pushed from the outside in. The cord design is fairly weak. I was thinking during install that if the cord was two piece and had a plug from the thermostat to the heater that could be connected outside, it would be a 4 star item. After covering the door with ordered door plastic, I hope for it to be much better. It works, but expect some issues that are easy to work around. It won’t break my heart if it quits this winter. If I didn’t need to make a trip to the hardware store for bolts, it may have been a five. Include four small bolts, nuts and washers for a single walled doghouse.

Works good for cat house. Keeps small space warm, if not hot. We run it at 55 degrees mostly due to the cat not liking it too warm.

Just good for kennels if placed correctly
This heater surprised me because it actually warmed up a small space quickly without feeling overly harsh or unsafe. I set it up in an outdoor area and the built in thermostat made it so easy to adjust when the temperature dropped at night. The chew proof cord is something I always appreciate because anyone with pets knows they love grabbing things they should not touch. I also liked that the timer options helped control the heat so it did not run all day which makes me feel better about using it overnight. It feels sturdy overall and gives enough heat for a kennel or small space without being overwhelming.Using it felt very beginner friendly because the controls were simple and displayed clearly on the little panel. It has a nice compact shape that fits in tight corners which is what made it perfect for what I needed. The noise level is very low so it does not bother animals or distract from anything going on around it. The only thing to note is that it is best for contained areas rather than open outdoor space since the heat will not spread far. Wow, wow, wow!!! This heather works phenomenally well. Easy to install, use, and the thermostat control is a plus! Our pets go in their house a lot now since it’s cozy in there at 70 degrees and they look so comfortable in their house! Ordering another one for the pump house.
