Multi Cat Tested and Approved
This set was pretty simple to put together, but we ended up using different hardware. The anchors it came with felt a little flimsy, and because of the layout we couldn’t rely on studs alone. We picked up sturdier anchors with a higher weight limit and everything has stayed solid since.Once that was sorted out, the whole thing went up fast. It feels stable, the instructions were easy to follow, and you get a lot of freedom with how you place everything on the wall. My cats started climbing on it immediately. For reference I have several full size cats and they all handled it like a jungle gym the minute we stepped back.The scratching pad attaches with adhesive and Velcro. I thought that was a strange choice, but it is holding just fine so far.It’s made from the usual compressed board/fiber material that a lot of cat furniture uses now so I’m curious what its longevity is going to be. It feels sturdy at the moment and I will update if anything changes.Overall it looks good, my cats love it, and it seems capable of handling a multi cat household with no problems.

Not for large cats…kinda…
One of the shelves broke off the wall in less than a week. The one that broke was being jumped on a lot (which i think should be part of the reasoning behind getting shelves for your cat(s) ). If you choose to purchase these, keep the shelves close enough for them to walk or hop to the other shelf. Or maybe buy additional shelving reinforcements. Or spend the extra money with a different brand, with thicker shelves. Especially if you have larger cats.

This would be great but…
Would absolutely recommend alternate hardware before securing to walls. The shelf set does include anchors for both plaster and drywall but upon opening, I am certain that the provided hardware would secure the shelves to the wall but questionable whether they would hold the weight of a cat long term. And it’s not enough to just support the weight of a 10lb cat just chilling. The shelves need to support the weight of a jumping cat which is going to add more stress to the shelves as they climb.Otherwise, for less than $60, these shelves are decent quality. About what you would expect for any equivalent cat tree. Would recommend but would reiterate replacing the hardware with hardware that can support more weight than what the kit provides.

This is an awesome kit! I’m not sure you’ll find a better quality one for the price. The pieces are heavy and feel durable. The biggest thing is making sure they’re all anchored into studs, everything else was simple and easy to assemble. This is a great way to get your cat running around and doing “cat things” while also saving space at the same time. Definitely would recommend!
