Brilliant product – my dog and I approve!
Got this to keep from having to lug a dog crate in and out of the cargo compartment of my Honda CRV. I use it along with a cargo liner and tether and it works perfectly to keep my dog safely contained in the cargo area and not jumping over the seat. It gives him enough room to move around safely and comfortably. It was easy to install, adjusts to fit and sits sturdily in place with no movement or noise. Dog is happy, I am happy.

Easy to install, nice barrier
I have two dogs who pout if they don’t get to go on daily rides to take my kids to school. I don’t love their nails on my leather seats, and they both shed a lot, so I decided to try them in the cargo area of my SUV instead, which is a bit easier to keep clean. I ordered this obviously to provide the separation and curb their desire to be closer to their humans. It works well. It was not hard to install once I got all the parts and pieces put together. I can take it on and off pretty easily, but I do need to climb into the cargo area to do so. I drive a 2014 Ford Edge SUV and this fits pretty well. I could expand it a bit more for a wider vehicle, like a Yukon or Tahoe, and it would likely fit well too without too much gap on the sides. I was worried this would be too flimsy, but for my dogs it is sturdy enough. That being said, neither of them push their boundaries too much. An incredibly determined bigger dog might be able to pull it/dislodge it from position, but it wouldn’t really be easy to do if installed correctly.

Works pretty well.
Keeps our over-weight Lab in the back of our SUV, but our more agile, skinnier large Terrier squeezes between the wire mesh and the center console. Must be careful of the barrier when starting and turning car on and off as the seats move automatically and independently of each other. Wish there wasn’t a gap at the bottom and that it would “flex” when the front seats moved. Took some time to install.

Just what I needed to protect new SUV
We recently purchased a new Mazda CX-50 and needed to figure out how to contain our 50 lb. staffy in the cargo area. (Previously I had a 13-year-old car and only used a pet blanket on the back seat; the dog would still jump up into the front passenger seat most of the time but I didn’t really care given the older vehicle.) This was one of two different barrier styles I purchased from Amazon to try out. Overall the assembly was quite simple. Because of the interior width of the vehicle, I actually didn’t need to attach the two triangular side panels. You can see in the photo that it’s just the main rectangular panel. There’s still a little space on each side, which our dog can poke his head through, but can’t fit his whole body through.I think the most important thing is getting your measurements right, especially the width between the headrests, so that you attach the vertical bars at the correct distance on the panel. Taking them off to readjust doesn’t seem like it would be very easy. The barrier seems very sturdy once tightened into place. We’ve only used it once so far with the dog, but it did the trick to keep him contained in the back. It was his first time not being able to move around the vehicle freely like he used to, but thankfully he stayed pretty calm even though it was a fairly short drive to the vet. I’m hoping this means we can bring him along on longer road trips too. For now I’m just keeping the barrier attached even if the dog isn’t in the vehicle, but it’s easy enough to loosen and remove when needed. Note: As you can see in the photo, we’re also using a separate cargo pet liner for additional protection of the interior.

Did not work for us
Did not work at all for our situation. Based on the reviews I read I thought this would be a viable option to keep our very active Dalmatian puppy from jumping into the front seat but still allow him some freedom of movement. I have a 2023 Chevy Equinox and the barrier was way too short (top to bottom) to keep our dog contained. He was easily able to fit his head underneath to rest on the console (but choking himself) and there was enough room at the top that he could throw his toys over. Also, I am short and my son is tall, if your seats are not adjusted the same the barrier will be askew. I have not tried it behind the second row seats as I keep the cargo area clear for groceries, shopping etc. The product itself seems fairly sturdy and was not too difficult to assemble and install, it just did not work for us.

Sturdy/Strong- stays put
This seems like it’s not gonna do much or may be weak but I have strong pits and they can’t get through this. It’s sturdy because of how you put it on. It will stay put 🙂 follow the instructions when putting it together !

Sturdy and up off the floor
We had the standard barrier that goes from the floor to the ceiling, but our dogs would get caught up on it and no matter how tight we made it, the legs would easily shift making the whole barrier fall down. We hated it! So we decided to try this barrier instead, and we’re SO glad we did! First off, we’re using it in a Chevy Equinox for reference. It works perfectly! We read the reviews that said the clips break easily or that it wasn’t sturdy enough. We experienced none of that. Because of those reviews, we were careful with the clips, but they just snapped in place as shown on the video (watch that video if you haven’t – it shows how easy the process is). Once attached to the headrests, it is solid. I thought the dogs might be able to push it down from the top, but NOPE! It’s very good for keeping they back there where they belong. There is a fair amount of space on the sides – you can slip your hand through there, but it hasn’t been an issue for our dogs (we have 2 labX’s). I think it might be an issue for smaller dogs depending on how the angles of the barrier conform to the angles of your vehicle. All in all, we are very happy with this product and would recommend it to others, especially if you’re tired of fighting with the conventional floor-to-ceiling barriers that don’t stay in place, and that take up too much space because the back seat is not bold upright.

The Product has a problem with one of the bars and that doesn’t hold the grill in place it keeps falling down and the dog jumps onto to the seat very easily by pushing through his nose. Unfortunately the return window has closedon the product.

This divider is great. It was easy to install and fits well. My head rests weren’t overly compatible with the hooks for the attachment so i added zip ties. Shockingly it worked really well and there is no rattle to this divider like others i have tried! Def recommend!
