dog conedog cone

For dogs with longer snouts and limbs, it might be very easy for them to reach their wounds and limbs, so we highly recommend choosing one size up. If the dog cone slips, please ensure the daily collar is inserted into the inner loop, it could effectively prevent dogs from escaping the collar.

What if I purchase the wrong size?

That’s the least you should worry about, simply go to amazon order section and contact seller for a replacement.

The purpose and benefits of getting an inflatable recovery collar?

It’s ideal for protecting your dog during recovery, preventing them from reaching wounds, stitches, or sensitive areas, and offers benefits such as comfort, unrestricted vision and mobility, an adjustable fit, and easy-to-clean durability.

How to inflate the dog cone?

1: Find the inflation valve. 2: Pinch the bottom of the valve to inflate the collar. 3: Ensure the collar is firm but not too tight; adjust the inflation level as necessary. 4: Release your hand from the valve to prevent air leakage.

Which physical phenomenon will cause air leakage?

Please avoid inflating the collar in a warm environment and then using it outdoors in cold temperatures, as thermal expansion and contraction could potentially shrink the vale and reduce the collar’s air tightness.

What’s the protection area of an inflatable dog recovery collar?

This collar not only safeguards the head and torso, but also encourages your dog to avoid his limbs. It’s worth noting that, it may not fully prevent access of dogs with long snouts to the extremities and paws, hence we recommend ordering one size up

Choosing the Correct Size for Your Inflatable Dog Collar: A Step-by-Step Guide

Selecting the right size inflatable dog collar is crucial to ensure your pet’s comfort and protection. Follow these steps to find the perfect fit:

Measure Your Dog/Cat’s Neck: 1. Use a flexible measuring tape to measure the circumference of your dog’s neck. 2. Place the measuring tape around the base of the neck, where the collar normally sits. 3. Ensure the tape is snug but not tight; you should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the tape and your dog’s neck.Check the Sizing Chart: 1. Refer to our sizing chart to match your dog’s neck measurement with the appropriate collar size. 2. Our collars come in various sizes, such as Small, Medium, Large, and Extra-Large. Each size covers a specific neck circumference range.Consider Your Dog’s Breed and Build: For dogs with longer snouts and limbs, it might be easier for them to reach their wounds or limbs. In such cases, we highly recommend choosing one size up for added security and protection. If your dog is between sizes or has a thicker coat, opting for the larger size can provide a better fit.Try It On: 1. Once you receive the collar, try it on your dog before inflating. 2. Ensure the collar is not too tight or too loose. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog’s neck.Secure the Collar: 1. If the collar seems to slip or move around, please insert your dog’s regular daily collar into the inner loop of the inflatable collar. 2. This will help keep the collar in place and prevent your dog from escaping the collar.Adjust as Necessary: 1. Inflate the collar to the desired firmness, ensuring it remains comfortable for your dog. 2. Regularly check and adjust the fit, especially if your dog is very active or prone to scratching. The inflatable collar serves as a gentle preventer for your dog to refrain from exploring its torso with its mouth, which is particularly beneficial for delicate areas such as wounds, surgical sites, or skin sensitivities in the abdomen or chest. While these collars predominantly safeguard the head and torso, they also encourage dogs to avoid their front and hind legs. However, it’s important to note that the collar may not entirely restrict access to the extremities, as some dogs, with their remarkable flexibility and determination, might still find a way to reach their paws.

Comfortable Recovery Collar That’s a Great Alternative to the Cone.
If your furry friend needs a post-surgery collar but you want to avoid the usual rigid plastic cone, this inflatable donut-style collar is a very welcome alternative. Most pets seem much more comfortable with this soft, cushioned design — they can eat, drink, sleep, and move around without the hawk-eye view and awkward bumping that traditional cones cause. One of the biggest advantages is how it lets dogs and cats maintain better mobility and visibility while still preventing them from licking or chewing at wounds. This is especially helpful for active pets who hate feeling restricted. That said, it’s not perfect. My pup did try to wiggle and push it off so if not secured well they will slip it off. Still, for the price and comfort it offers, it’s a great recovery tool.Overall: A soft, comfortable, and easy-to-use alternative to traditional cones — great for post-surgery healing, with just a few minor maintenance points to keep in mind.

Excellent, adorable dog cone! Highly Recommend!
Love this shark cone so much! Not only is the cone itself extremely functional & works like a charm, but it comes in all these super cool patterns & themes! My Pittie has always had the nickname ‘shark’ 🦈 or ‘chompers’ lol so naturally when I was on the hunt for a cone to stop him from licking his feet & came across this shark one, I had to have it!All joking aside, this cone was really perfect for our needs. My Pittie has horrible environmental as well as food allergies (we’ve been thru all the testing & such) & his feet are suffering while we work through trying to help him. We’ve been managing pretty well with the Cytopoint injection every 7 weeks, while he’s going through his Allergy Immunotherapy Injections, but we had a mishap with his dermatologist who gave him an extremely too low dose this last time & we have to wait a full 4 weeks before he can get his next Cytopoint, while this low dose did absolutely nothing for him. So his allergies kicked in full force while he had no medication on board & was licking his feet quite a bit. Then within the same week of purchasing the cone, due to the licking & no allergy meds on board, he got an infection in his rear toe! Long story short, he can’t lick his foot at all while we’re taking antibiotics, anti-inflammatories & Epsom salt soaks. And this cone has worked wonders for us! It’s super easy to inflate, with your own mouth & breath or with an inflator if you have one; just simply pinch the nozzle as you blow. I inflated mine the day after I got it on Oct 15th & it’s still holding the same amount of air today Nov 2nd; I have not added anymore air to it. I like how it’s adjustable with the velcro strap, to get the perfect size for your dogs neck without any hassle or struggle at all. And it’s super easy to put on, just open the velcro strap, slide it over his neck & reattach the velcro strap. No hooks to be found all up the side, like the cheap plastic cones, no ties to then loop through the hooks & tie around there neck, etc. None of that, this is as simple as it gets. And the velcro is very strong, my dog has worn it for around 6 hours a day M-F for 2 weeks & never once got it off or even undone. It seems pretty comfortable for my dog to wear around as well; it pretty much doubles as a pillow for laying down as well. It’s definitely more convenient for us, not having that huge plastic cone bumping into your legs, into the walls, knocking things over left & right. With this one, there’s almost none of that! Of course they can’t squeeze through smaller spaces, but once he’s worn it for a bit, he seemed to figure out his spatial awareness pretty quickly. The only thing my dog had trouble with is our tight spiral staircase; he couldn’t understand that he had to lift his head higher to clear the stair, so he couldn’t go up them without help. I was a little worried he would still be able to get to his feet, since there are quite a few reviews saying exactly that, but my boy is 64lbs American Pitbull & he couldn’t even get to his front feet, let alone his back. The only cons to this I would say is that if you have other playful, young dogs who are into toys, they may see this as a toy & try to get it & could pop it. We have a playful GSD & she tried to grab it while on his neck not understanding he wasn’t holding a toy. And with this shark one, it does have 3 little fins that hang off the sides & top of the cone, so at first my guy would swing his head side to side quickly to try to grab those little fins. He never succeeded as far as I know, but figured I’d let you all know that in case that would be a problem for your dogs. Overall this has been phenomenal for us & I would highly recommend it.

    Works good and seems comfortable
Our dog doesn’t love wearing it but she doesn’t fight it like she does a traditional cone. She is also way more comfortable wearing this and is able to sleep a lot more comfortable. Only thing I disliked was it seemed to deflate a little and she was able to pick her paws again. But just added some more air and it was all good again.

    Such a great cone
I love this collar – it is easy to adjust how full the cone is, stays on well, is very comfortable for my pup and has been very long lasting and durable. It works perfectly and has been fantastic for him to get around and also not be able to lick the stuff he isn’t supposed to.

    Inflatable Dog Collar
Great product! My dog has been wearing this for two weeks and we had no issues at all. He didn’t like the plastic cone from the doctor and had issues sleeping, so I thought we would give this “neck pillow” a try. Worked great! I would totally recommend. No issues with air retention, it is easy to get on and off, it fits great and doesn’t hurt when he bumps into you.

Great alternative to a traditional cone
I was hesitant in purchasing for my cat as so many reviews were about dogs, but I am glad I purchased! So Hopefully this review will help other cat parents. If your cat is having a procedure requiring a cone afterward, have this ready. I highly recommend this product as an alternative to a traditional cone. My cat had dental work and was sent home with the classic hard plastic e collar cone to be worn for two weeks. I didn’t think to look for other options to have on hand until I could tell how uncomfortable he was with the cone that first day/night. I purchased this that night when I could tell he was not going to be getting any sleep, was hesitant in trying to figure out the litter box, clunking all over the place, and just downright miserable. It arrived the next night, and as soon as I put it on him, it was an instant change in mood. He went back to walking around like normal as if he didn’t have anything on. I have a very finicky cat so this came as a surprise to me.The Velcro is strong and the donut stays put once you figure out how snug to put it on. It stays pretty inflated, I did have to re inflate maybe once but over a week and half span so far which isn’t bad in my opinion. The sizing chart was helpful and just right. He would get itchy occasionally which I can imagine would happen from wearing anything of this nature so I wouldn’t necessarily attribute to this specific product. So I would just take off of him for a few minutes and give him some time to clean around his neck etc. and then put it back on him. He would get fussy when I would try to put it back on, but as soon as it was on, he would get over it and go back to whatever he was doing. He sleeps comfortably in it and has no issues with eating or with peripheral vision like a traditional cone would. I highly recommend this product!

My dog needed an elizabethan collar when she was a puppy and it was an afwul experience for her so I tried to look for an alternative and isn’t cone shaped. I understand that some wounds can be reached by a dog depending on its location, but my dog couldn’t reach hers after her spaying.Seems way more comfortable than the cone – which was needed for her as she sleeps in her crate at night, so she needed something to move around more easily. The removable cover makes it super easy to clean. Doesn’t seem to deflate much (could go multiple days without the need to reflate).Size chart was accurate. Velcro strap is very secure! Also acts a little pillow for my doggo 🙂

Cinquestelle meritatissime.

My dog needs to wear a collar for 10 days, so I opted to get a more comfy collar for him. His face when I changed over to this collar, I could see he was so much happier. Easy to use and washable. Very quick delivery.
