Works well!! Like the straight cutting edge. Had an ankle injury that made it difficult to comfortably reach toenails on that side. Longer handles and angled to help you reach if you have a compromising injury. Really helps! Might even be better if the handles were half an inch longer but still useful!

Independence!
I live with severe chronic pain and a number of chronic health problems. My stiff joints make it nearly impossible to reach my toes in all the angles necessary to do a good toe nail trim. Thankfully, I can get help from one of my sweet [adult] daughters, but sometimes I just want to be able to fix a stupid toe nail!These big ole clippers have given me a breath of independence. I’ll still happily take help when it’s available, but now I have options!These cut pretty easily and from a comfortable angle.

It’s different and might help some
Dad always said to clip toenails with a straight edge clipper and I’ve kept my old straight edge toenail clipper for decades. As I get older, it’s tougher to handle and bend and twist to do all the nails on both feet. While this is a straight edge clipper (and newer, thus sharper than my old one), in the beginning it brings its own challenges to find a way to clip all my toenails without oddly twisting and bending. So, I’m still figuring these out and since one doesn’t need to cut nails weekly, it will take time. I can say the following:- These are sharp- The indentations on the handles help to keep your fingers gripping, but still this is very smooth. It would have been better to make this area engraved in a cross-hatch, to provide better gripping, less slippage.- While the spring hinge is a cool idea, and you get an extra one, it makes me wonder why an extra is needed. I wonder if with continued use, the spring is no longer “springy”.- Nail bits still fly out, the “catcher” is pretty much useless.
