Okay, so she’s not a dog…
I don’t actually HAVE a small dog anymore (our PomChi passed away 2 years ago), but I do have rescued cats and kittens that get car sick in cat carriers! The little girl pictured here is “Void” (I’m sure her new adoptive parents will decide to change her name, but maybe not). She HATES cat carriers! However, she has been harness and leash trained and even went into PetSmart sans carrier and just checked everything out from the comfort of my shoulder! To get her to PetSmart (where our kitten adoptions take place), she rode in style in this armrest “dog” booster seat. There is a thin “leash” strap that connects pet to booster seat, that was attached during travel to ensure she couldn’t get out of the seat. This strap is the one of only a few downfalls I see in the whole setup, it is not adjustable and was definitely too long for little Miss Void! The other downfall is in how the elastic bands connect to the armrest itself, the hooks face the wrong direction, and the straps slip off of the hooks way too easily. If you don’t have a “spare” passenger seat for a larger dog booster seat though, this is a workable option. As you can see from the photos (taken safely while stopped, never while driving), Void fell asleep and was happy to stay in the booster, even when I got to PetSmart and had to get out to go get a cart so I could get her, her sibling, and my “accoutrements” for a day at the adoption space adopting out kittens (4 that Saturday and Void went to a new home this Saturday)! She stayed lounging in the booster seat while I unloaded everything out of the vehicle and FINALLY had to coax her out of the seat to come inside!Void definitely gives this booster all 4 paws up! I highly recommend it too!

Great for small spaces
Got this for my parents little dog. They currently use a little food tray with a pad on it all tied in place. Only thing that fits the console tight area. They will be ecstatic over this. It’s for Christmas so haven’t used yet but it appears well made, great for tiny dogs in tight consoles.

Secure and safe straps
There is a lot to like about this pet carrier/car seat, but there are some things I would change. The sides aren’t a very firm/thick foam. It did arrive vacuum packed and sealed in plastic, so it’s possible it will puff up more. It already looks better today than yesterday. I had a big pillow take literally 4 weeks to reach its full potential. The entire booster seat unzips for easy cleaning. All the foam comes out and you can throw the cover in the washer. You could replace the foam with something better. At that point though, you might as well choose something else. The price is borderline for me. I’m still deciding on value. What made me keep this carrier and return the other are the armrest straps. These are far superior to what I had. These straps are the correct length and adjustable, so much more secure. There are also non-slip bumps on the bottom. No slipping off the back or flying into the dash for unexpected braking. You get straps for length or width, so it will work for both styles of armrest opening. I used both when I initially installed it. The last seat slid around so much, I took all precautions provided. That won’t be convenient to grab and go, so I’ll likely not use both next time. I can just store the extra set in one of the car seat pockets. Oh, pro tip for short people: Move your seat all the way back to make installation easier. The things I would change… The leash in the carrier is wimpy, thin, too long, and not adjustable. The metal leash clasp is small and seems weak. The bottom should be hard, not like a slab of concrete, but an extra-sturdy cardboard type of bottom? BUT… remember when I said _everything_ unzips? That includes the base. I can replace the foam and/or add a firm bottom.

Doesn’t have much form
It’s okay. It has no stability at all. We have a long road trip half way across the country coming up and I thought it would be nice not to have to keep the cat in a crate for 2 straight days of driving. The back has no real shape, even after days of being open it still looks like a crooked U and the padding piece for inside is like 4 inches wide, not really a great design or a great fit, 😅 a folded blanket would work much better. I brought it in the house so my cat could get used to it and he has sat in it but since it’s kinda floppy he doesn’t love it. I think if it was in a little Rubbermaid to keep the shape it would probably function a lot like a pet bed and he would probably love it. The whole thing unzips and you can unzip where the padding is so you can wash the cover which is nice and it has a little clip to keep your pet from being loose in the car.

This car seat carrier is perfect for tiny dogs
My dog loves this little seat. She is comfortable, high enough to see without having to jump around. It was easy to fit on the arm rest between the seats. I thinks works really well.

Don’t recommend for carrying pets without extra hand support on front – keep them towards back.
I can’t overly recommend as this product doesn’t have much structure. I’ll give it that it does secures okay to the console. While the fur babies had a fun ride around the house in this, I about dumped the first mini dachshund when I didn’t get her shoved back far enough and didn’t keep my hand on the front. The straps should be affixed closer to the front and backside as to provide more even support.
