Works great, but get your own bungee cords
This barrier works great, keeps our big dog in the back seat. It doesn’t rattle, doesn’t block the view in the rear view mirror, and the dog can easily see what’s going on up front so I think that’s why she doesn’t feel a need to get through the barrier. We have used it in our Honda Accord, and also Honda CR-V. Very easy to transfer back and forth between the two cars. No directions in the box, but I watched the short video on Amazon and that’s all you need. I took off one star because the bungee cords that came with it were tiny and not strong. One of them broke immediately. I bought some inexpensive bungee cords at Home Depot and that does the job.

EXTRA BUNGEE CORDS, A MECHANIC, AND A HORIZONTAL DOG BARRIER JUST MIGHT MAKE IT WORK
No Printed Directions in box! The video was shot in the dark, has no voice over narration to help with installation. Just useless happy music. It’s quite flimsy. If you buy four or six extra bungee cords, you’ll be gland you did. In order to make this actually work with large dogs that could otherwise lean on it and knock it into the front seat, we had to buy another much sturdier dog barrier that we put across it. This was only useful as a vertical ‘suggestion’ to dogs to keep out of front seat. I gave this 5 stars because if you have someone mechanically inclined to help you and you purchase a horizontal heavier metal dog barrier to go across it to keep it in place, you will have a barrier that works.

Very bad choice
I got this to help discourage my GSD from jumping onto the console between the seats. Unfortunately, I had an extremely dangerous situation happen. My dog’s neck was at the level of the top of the gate and his collar got stuck in the gate. I was driving on a Southern California freeway and he started yelping. I felt backwards and could feel it was stuck. I pulled over into the emergency lane and climbed into the backseat to untangle his neck.Once home I took off this flimsy wire thing and put it in the trash.

Not for large SUVs
If you drive a large SUV, Yukon, Tahoe, etc, this is NOT going to work. The straps are not long enough to reach the gate, so you’ll have to use bungee cords and it will not be very stable.

Great product
I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and every time I come to a stop, the little guy always jumps into the front seat. Having bought the gate, it has been one of the best purchases I have made. Set up is easy and sturdy. I needed something that is as high as my headrest and the bottom aligns with my armrest which was perfect!

Would recommend. Measure the space between your Fri t seats to make sure it will work for you. A smaller pup could squeeze through th side possibly.
