Good set of first aid supplies in adorable backpack
First off, I absolutely adore the little backpack that this first aid kit comes in. It’s worth it for the backpack alone. It’s camouflage and has a cute design on it including the phrase “Operation Good Boy.” Too cute! The bag has a little handle on top and a Velcro strap on back so you can secure it to your own backpack or to your pup’s leash or harness.Inside there is the expected assortment of gauze, bandages, and antiseptic wipes along with some handy bonus items like mini scissors, plastic tweezers, disposable gloves, and even a disposable mouth-to-mouth guard. I’m not sure how well that works for mouth-to-snout, but I guess in an emergency you make it work if you need to.This set is a good supplement to my own camping first aid kit so I can make sure I have supplies for my pets in case of emergency.

IT’S GOOD
Sturdy and durable, this canine first aid kit will provide you with peace of mind. You’ll be able to care for an incident or two, should your dog require minor medical attention. After that, you’ll need to restock the kit.Make sure you familiarize yourself with the contents before you need them.

Cute case, but some of the supplies won’t work for dogs
The case is cute, but this isn’t really a “dog first aid kit”. It’s a “human first aid kit” that happens to contain some items that can also be used for dogs. There are also items in there that will be completely useless for dogs. There are a few sheets of adhesive bandages (aka band-aids) included, but those don’t stick to dogs because of their fur. There is also a mouth-to-mouth-resuscitation device included, which won’t work for a dog either, because their mouths aren’t shaped the same as a human’s. They would’ve been better off leaving those items out and putting in a couple more sterile gauze pads, wider tape, a small Ace bandage, and some styptic powder. In the item listing, it says, “Comes with antiseptic wipes, triple antibiotic ointment, sterile dressing, and non-stick gauze bandages to care for common minor canine mishaps.” There is no triple antibiotic ointment included, and only ONE non-stick gauze bandage. Not plural. I was wondering why there were no detailed photos of exactly what was included (or even a complete itemized list), but now I know why.Honestly, marketing this as a first aid kit for dogs seems a little shady when the only thing that makes it a “dog first aid” kit is the phrase printed on the case. Small first aid kits made for humans contain similar items in them and cost less, so you might as well buy one of those, because the case is what you’re paying for here.

Veteran owned business BUT … Very strange – more of a basic first aid kit… and overpriced
I’m a little confused about this Tactical Pet First Aid Kit by Operation Good Boy. Its title says “ Essential Supplies for Canine Mishaps”, but this is more of a human first aid kit that SOME things can be used for a pet. It’s in an adorable little camo bag. It is waterproof and is made of a really nice quality material. It has a velcro piece on the back that can be put on a dog leash – or a backpack for hiking. I mean, it’s a great first aid kit to have for owner with their dog, especially backpacking/hiking. Easy to carry or attach to your backpack etc. I just find it super strange that it’s marketed towards canines, where it’s more of a human first aid kit where some things can be used for dogs as well…I definitely would not order again, especially at the price point (20 at time of review). It’s definitely overpriced. You can purchase everything included in this set separately (plus more) and throw them in a small bag for less than this. Other than it being in a nice cute bag, it’s not worth the price. The only reason I’m giving this 4 stars instead of 3 is because this brand, Operation Good Boy, is veteran-owned and operated and supports military working dog charities and I am all for supporting our military. Thank you all for your service! 🇺🇸

First aid basics in portable pack
Nice bag that has a strap with velcro on the back to attach it to a bag or your dog’s harness. Enough of the basics in here to help give someone or your dog basic first aid. I like that there are two elastic mesh pockets to help keep everything contained. There’s also a little more room I’m going to add a few Bandaids and some Vaseline. We have a working dog who sometimes gets splits on his paw pads, it will be nice to have a dedicated first aid kit for him that I know has wraps and gauze if he needs it.
