Pat Your Pet Grooming Gloves – Cat & Dog Hair Remover Glove for Deshedding Long and Short Fur

Update 1/10/26: Almost 5 years later and I still love these gloves. I ended up buying a second pair a couple years ago after I lost my Husky mix and adopted a short-coated pittie mix, so I could have one pair for her and one for the cats. As I expected, they work great on her short coat. She tolerates brushing and they get a lot of fur out of her. I usually brush her outside so I don’t have to clean up the mess in the house (which is another reason for the second pair of gloves, to keep one by the door). The original pair is still working great. It hasn’t worn down noticeably and still gets tons of fur out of the cats. From previous experience with other rubber brushes, using these on a dog or horse with coarser fur and where you’re applying more pressure will eventually wear down the nubs, but no worries about that happening with cats and there isn’t any sign of wearing out yet after a couple years with my new dog.Original review:I’ve had another set of grooming gloves for a while (ASIN B07XXSZB86) that I would have said worked great, until I gave these a try! These put that set to shame! The contoured nubs focused on the contact points of your hand work much better and make the gloves more flexible for brushing sensitive areas like the neck and legs. They’re nice and thick and feel like they’ll last a good while. The rubber has more “tack” and really pulls out all the loose hair, but still releases it easily. I keep my little cordless vacuum nearby and use it to suck the hair off the gloves and from around my pet while I brush them.Best part? All three of my cats LOVE THEM. My fragile, bony, little special-needs cat usually only tolerated brushing with the old gloves or furminator, but he was rolling around and leaning in to these. After a couple minutes, he was having such a good time I actually heard some quiet purrs from him for the first time in TWO YEARS. My dog likes being petted with them, but they’re not effective at all for her coat (more detail below).I can’t believe the amount of hair these gloves got out of the cats in a short time. The picture with one cat (special-needs guy) is the pile of fur just from him after only maybe 5 minutes. It filled my little vacuum! The other picture shows the fur I got out of him (in the vac) and his sister in ~5min each. His sister and my other cat LOVE being brushed and will let you really dig in so it’s easier to get more hair out. They come running if they see me holding the gloves, meowing and circling my legs wanting groomed. The whole time I first used them, I kept thinking “now I have to be done!” then more would keep coming. Can’t wait to keep using these several times per week and see a reduction in shed hair around the house!Now, these won’t work for every type of pet. They’re GREAT for cats, would probably work great for short-haired or single-coated dogs, and horses, but they don’t work nearly well enough for my double-coated husky mix dog or I’d bet most long-haired dogs. I can get some of her hair out and they’re nice to give her a massage and smooth her coat out, but the nubs aren’t long or strong enough to get into her undercoat where all the loose hair hides.My only minor gripes? First that there was no sizing choice when I purchased them, and I’ve found that they’re a bit tight around my knuckles and wrists. I don’t have large hands, so they probably won’t fit men or women with more than average-size hands. Second that they don’t breathe well so my hands get sweaty. But for the benefits for my cats, I’ll gladly deal with that!

Brushing gloves
These gloves work pretty good. I have 2 feral 1 year old twins, boy and girl. They are afarid of everything especially the little girl. I have her a year and she wont even let me pick her up yet. Not to my suprise she was terrified of these. I knew she would be but she was getting matted hair spots on her back???. The little boy doesent mind them at all and actually let’s me brush him with them. They do get a nice amount of hair and he is not a long hair like his sister. His hair is very thick though so he needs to be crushed. He looks very handsome when I finish, and I get a huge amount of hair. The little girl has a mix of hair types and besides not sitting still or wanting it done I do get a decent amount of hair off of her as well. As for the hair lumps on her back they dont do much. I need a pick ax to bust them up. Over all I like what they can do. I took off one star cause they are hard to get the hair off unless you really get a lot then it’s easier. A bit intimidating looking at first but do an adequate job. I would recommend.

Hands Down Amazing Gloves for Furry Friends!!!
I gotta say “hands down” these gloves are amazing!!! I never write reviews, but I was so impressed I had to recommend them to others with furry friends. I used these gloves on both my cats and dogs, all with different hair lengths from very short to longer. They are great at grooming your pets! I was shocked at how many hand fulls of fur I was getting off of all of them. All my pets seemed to tolerate even enjoy being pet brushed with them. The finger tips are great for grooming their necks and under chins, which were difficult places to get with brushes. I even used the gloves on my cat tree to get in the nooks and just pick up fur my vacuum cannot clean. Very happy with my purchase, I would highly recommend these gloves.

Great horse grooming accessory!
My horse loves these for a light handed brushing and I love how they break up mud even on his legs. Shedding season is easier this year too. So I bought a pair to keep at home for my dog who LOVES being petted with these gloves so much more than the wire brush we’d used before. And the gloves are far more effective. The Velcro wrist tab helps with fit but do wish they came in a smaller size. My glove is 7” size and these are still effective but larger than my hands.
