This gate is amazing. Its sturdy and strong and heavy-duty. When locked into place no animals can get through and keeps kids safely in. Easy to install. Very high. Safty lock makes it so only adults can unlock. Functions easily and is a great price.

The Best Gate if You Have Dogs
We have big dogs in our house and a senior citizen who needs some space. This gate is by far the best of many, many gates we have purchased over the years. It is tall, light weight but effective and easy to open and close. It has been jumped on, stepped on and worked, but it is still going strong! Also, the gate has a door for smaller dogs or cats that can be zipped open or zipped closed.

Helps keep my pets in their designated areas
Works well overall. I like that it rolls up and can be hidden from view when open. Other pet gates take up room in a doorway, and this one doesn’t if you set it up right. There are also more ways to set up the gate on walls, and you are not limited to just between a door space. The extension allows for a wider fit, and the mesh fabric is pretty sturdy. My rabbit can be determined to get places, and he has not yet figured out how to get under the mesh (keeping my fingers crossed). It is easy to lock the gate in place when it is extended; however, you must unlock it to open or adjust the length again. It would be nice if it were like a tape measure, where you can adjust while it is in a more locked position. Otherwise, it is relatively easy to adjust, and it looks nice in my home.

The Pawtners retractable baby gate is one of the best safety gates I’ve used! At 41 inches tall, it provides great coverage, and the extra-wide 71-inch extension fits perfectly across wide hallways, stairs, and open spaces. The retracting mechanism is smooth and quiet, and the fabric is strong enough to handle both toddlers and energetic pets.The included support rods make the gate extra stable, preventing bending or sagging. Installation was straightforward, and the lock/unlock mechanism is simple for adults but secure enough that kids can’t open it. I also love that it’s perfect for indoor and outdoor

Best gate for big entryways
The best thing I could’ve bought. I tried looking up gates that fit a big entryway, they cost 100+. Not only is this gate cheaper, but it has SURVIVED in my household. I have cats, dogs, and a baby and it’s lasted. It holds up well, it’s stable, durable, great quality. I would find it extremely unlikely that it doesn’t hold up for many more months. Easy to install too!

5/5 Stars – The perfect gate for a modern home.
We are very happy with this baby gate. When it’s rolled up, it’s incredibly compact, taking up just a few inches of space. The mesh material allows you to see through it easily, and it’s strong enough to keep even our most determined dog from getting through.A quick word of advice: be sure to install it directly into wall studs, as the drywall anchors we first used weren’t strong enough. Also, keep in mind that the hook system usually requires two hands to operate, so it’s a good idea to have a place nearby to set down whatever you’re carrying. Overall, this gate is a great solution for keeping kids and pets safe while looking clean and modern.

Love the gate, but may want to reconsider if you have quarter round on baseboards.
I love that this gate is retractable. We have been considering baby/pet gates for our 2 French Bulldog puppies and our almost 2 year old. We got the 42 inch with support rods to hopefully deter our baby, who can climb anything or figure out how to use furniture to obtain whatever his heart desires, from pulling on the top and trying to climb over or climb under, and because our frenchies could probably win an Olympic gold medal for high jump. We have a Regalo walk through for our bedroom door, but the thought of a walk through taking up all the space to cover our 80in frame from the kitchen to the living room and being stationary seemed too cumbersome and like a challenge our baby would win in a few days. We decided to take a chance on this gate because of how versatile it seems to be, the bottom bracket sliding up and down for baseboards, the support rods, the suction cups for the bottom and because it is out of the way when we don’t need it. I got it today and installed it immediately. The directions were perfect, with pictures to show what you were supposed to do, and I was able to install it by myself in about 20-30 minutes. I really appreciated that the brackets for the rolled up side had adhesive on them. It 100% made the installation faster and easier. I haven’t installed the grommets for the suction cups. I’m hoping we don’t need them, but will update if my 3 evil geniuses figure out how to crawl under. One suggestion I would make for the seller is to include another set of latches. Because this gate is so versatile, it would be very helpful for us to have another set of latches I could put by my back door to extend the use of the gate to corral my puppies into the house without them doing zoomies all over my living room.**The only problem I encountered was that our house has quarter round molding at the bottom of our baseboards, making the sliding feature of the bottom bracket null and void. When I slid it up past the baseboard it would not touch the wall because of the quarter round extending out past the baseboard. I guess I could have raised the height of the gate instead of sitting flush on the floor, but I don’t want my baby or puppies to be able to crawl under it. The only option I had was to drill the bottom bracket into my baseboard, which wasn’t a big deal to me, but it barely made the mark to drill the holes before the “decorative” part of the board cuts up at an angle. I decided to use the dry wall anchors in the baseboard for extra hold. I included a picture for reference. **
