IT WORKS!!!
This product works! We are having a huge tick problem this year! I tried and returned the hook and twist style as the tick slipped through the hook each attempt. This is easy to use! Place opening over tick. Press down towards skin. Squeeze to close tightly. Continue squeezing closed and pull away to remove the tick. Such a satisfying sound, a loud tick 😉 when the tick is pulled free; alive and intact every time!

Our tick season has subsided considerably since I got this, but I have grabbed two of those tiniest little bastards with it and it performed quite well. Proud to say, I’m a damned expert on ticks. My 2022 collection which i keep in a medicine bottle of rubbing alcohol is up to over 50 at last count. And I have two other extraction devices (1 slotted plastic spoon {pretty good too but not always effective upon first swipe}, and another kind of pliers, dikes, device {that one is ok too except it can grab some skin now and then and that’s no fun})It’s amazing to me that I haven’t contracted any tick born diseases, but I attribute that to being able to recognize an itch means another damn tick, and get that bastard out NOW with a proper device.

Does the Job Efficiently
It works efficiently by isolating the tick in the “cup,” and by closing the aperture and lifting up from the skin, the tick is removed completely. In the spring, the wood ticks are everywhere in SD, and this tool is just what my dog needs. I usually dab a little alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on the spot afterwards.

Last year we moved to an area with a lot of ticks. We had never seen a tick, nevermind had to remove them. VWe have used these for over a year and wanted more after someone tried to remove a tick in my son without a remover. The tick broke and had to be removed at the Drs. My husband was so upset that he wished he had waited to use the one we had at home.We have removed deer ticks and dog ticks/wood ticks with these. It always removes the entire tick, alive in one piece. I even used it to remove a tick from someones puppy at the store.Buy a few, you will love them. Just be patient getting the tick head in the notch and lifting firm but slowly. You can see the tick back itself out.

This was recommended by a store clerk when I was seeking to purchase tweezers. Although the store did not carry this style, I decided to take her advise and order it. I had an opportunity to use it several days after it arrived in the mail. It was amazing. I did not even need to pull, the tick pulled out as soon as it was surrounded by the scoop so there was no risk of leaving mouth parts still embedded. I live in tick country, this gizmo works better than any other method I have tried.
