IT WORKS VERY WELL
I bought this heater to keep my pet warm, and it has worked wonderfully. The lamp heats up quickly, distributes the heat well, and the timer is very convenient for scheduling the hours of use. In addition, the UV light helps maintain a healthier environment. It’s easy to hang, and the cord is a good length.I like that you can adjust the power level as needed. So far, everything has worked perfectly, and my animals are very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Excellent heater and lamp!
The fan is a bit louder than I’d like as I’m using it indoors on a reptile tank in my home office. However, the durability, heat level controls, functionality, ease of install, all are absolutely excellent and have been a huge upgrade to the heat lamp setup I was using for my Ball Python. I am way more in control of his environments temperature now and that is exactly what I wanted and exactly what I got!

Disappointed — stopped working after a short time
As a volunteer cat rescuer, I’m always looking for safe and reliable ways to keep kittens warm — and this heater has been a lifesaver! It provides consistent heat without getting too hot, and the adjustable 200W–500W settings make it easy to control the temperature depending on the weather.I really appreciate the built-in timer and dimmable light options, which let me set it and forget it while keeping the environment comfortable and calm for the animals. It’s quiet, energy-efficient, and feels very sturdy. The UVA/UVB lighting is a nice bonus for maintaining a healthy space, especially during colder months.I’ve used it in my rescue setup for kittens, but it would work just as well for small pets, birds, or even in a greenhouse. What started as a great, reliable heater turned out to be unreliable in the long run.I’m changing my rating to 1 star because durability and dependability are essential for animal care, and this product sadly didn’t last.

Works for quail
Seems to work well for my 3wk old quail chicks. Had a difficult time getting it high enough up to where the temp wasnt too hot but that is my fault. I assumed because it was so small it would need to be lower. Nice that has lights and heat and so many different settings.

This thing is awesome for my bathroom!
This is a great product. I actually took it apart to check the quality of the components, and it’s great quality. It has a high temperature cutoff switch, like any heater should, so if anything dangerous happens like for example if it were to get covered with a blanket, it will shut off. Otherwise it would get too hot and be dangerous. It also uses relays to turn the different heat setting on/off which is excellent design. And 500w is 1 third the power of most heaters, so it’s not too dangerous when it comes to plugging into a power strip (most household heaters are 1500w which is not safe to plug into a power strip) but the fan is pretty powerful so keeps you warm if directed at you. One thing to note is that it is NOT designed to be screwed into your typical light fixture, so use the cord supplied. The only reason I’m able to use it in my bathroom ceiling fixture is that it was designed for a heat lamp. Heat lamp bulbs have NONE of the safety features of a heater like this btw and are MUCH more dangerous, this product is MUCH SAFER THAN A HEAT LAMP. Be safe out there with your animals!!

Not compatible with thermostat
Gets really hot really quick even on the lowest setting and doesn’t work with a thermostat.I bought this to temporarily heat my hognose enclosure while I wait for my heat panel to come in the mail, but it got the hot spot to 114F in less than ten mins on the lowest heat setting. My thermostat turned it off, but it doesn’t come back on unless manually pressed to do so, which I can’t do every 5-10 mins. Might be okay for a bearded dragon, but I don’t really trust any heating element that isn’t compatible with a thermostat.So it works too well too fast and isn’t compatible with a thermostat. I hope I can find another use for this product as it would likely work well in another scenario, but won’t work for what I bought it for.

Great buy
Bought this for my community cats. It’s well worth the money. The heat that comes from it is more than enough to heat the area which is a 8×8 shed. It keeps it warm and the timer on this works well.
