Easy to use; Fish love them; Don’t leave a residue; Decent price; Snails-be-gone!
I like these fish feeders so much better than the white chalky ones that seem to always leave a white residue in the tank. I break a single ‘feed cake’ into about 5 or 6 pieces and drop them in different spots so that fish can easily feed on them wherever they are. They ARE slow release, so the food itself is dispersed over a period of many days. I have five guppies, two neon tetras and two algae eaters, so one of these feed cakes lasts about 10 days. An added bonus is that, if you have unwanted snails like I do, you will find them collected on whatever chunks are still left over, and just ‘fish’ those snails right out of the tank when you get home.

Works great! So far we have taken multiple trips without any issues!
Works great! It keeps our Platys alive as well as our aquatic frog. We’ve left for 4-5 days and when we come home the fish are fine and there is still some of the food left. I usually just pluck it out – it’s easy to remove and discard.

    Kills fish
I am tired of my reviews being changed to include only the positive things being printed. This product stinks. I’ve used it twice. I thought the first time was just bad luck. No. Both times, used as directed it killed all my fish and polluted the water.

Great for a variety of fish
I purchased these a couple of times when going out of town or if I’m going to be away for a couple of days these say that it lasts the 14 days I have noticed in the tank where my sharks are it’s lasting about 10 days but in the tank with my tropical fish it is lasting about 14 days it’s a good value for the money it’s a good size and it’s healthy for the fish

    Not the best idea
This is a good idea but it turned over and was upside down while I was gone and my fish couldn’t get to it. Wont buy again.

    I ALWAYS have these around!
We travel often and I am sure to keep these on hand. We have Angel Fish, African Dwarf Frogs, Pleco’s and a few other community fish. One of these disks lasts about 5 days in my tank. If we plan on being gone longer, we are sure to leave 2 disks in the tank. We have been gone for 11 days before, leaving 2 disks in a 55 gallon tank, and have come home to chunks of the disk’s left in the bottom of the tank. Simply scoop out what’s left over and toss out, then continue feedings as usual. This food is compressed in a tank safe gel and slowly dissolves, giving your fish the nutrients they need. If you have bottom feeders, they are quick to find the disks and work the food out themselves, helping the process. From my experience, this does NOT make the disks dissolve any faster so no need to add more with bottom feeders. Be sure to remove the disk entirely from the package. Don’t leave it in the plastic cup after removing the lid. REMOVE IT FROM THE CUP ENTIRELY and drop the disk in the tank as far from the filter as possible.

I received it damaged. It was squeezed into a small box in a very bad way and the funny part is I can’t request a return or a refund

Does the job….just make sure the plug doesn’t get stuck under any rocks/ornaments in the tank….

Kept my fish fed and happy while I was away. Dissolves slowly and doesn’t cloud the water.

Have used these a couple of times now and the fish seem to like them as they are pretty much gone by the time we get back from a trip. Haven’t had any issue with them going ‘mouldy’ as some people have stated in reviews however the longest they’ve been in the tank has been 5 days. Will be doing a 10 day trip next year so will be interesting to see how they go for that.
