Great for outdoor cats!
This little heater is AMAZING! It’s 16 degrees outside and my cat’s shelter is 60 degrees inside! I live in western NC where temps can get very low. My outdoor cats are loving this heater. I used an extra large metal (wire) dog crate, zip-tied a small wire cat ladder (from a spare cat cage) to make a corner wire shelf for the heater to sit on at back of the cage. I hung the heater to rest on the wire shelf from the top of the cage (hung about 10” from the top), wrapping the cord snug to the top portion of the cage. I also put a cat heating pad inside the cage with a few blankets. I lined the outside of the crate with cardboard, lined the top of the crate with a reflective car window shield to reflect heat, and covered the entire crate with blankets. I left a small section without cardboard to allow access to the heater controls. I left the side door (the door on the wider side) of the crate open, covered the door opening about 3/4 of the way down with blanket, and pushed the open door side, close to a wall, with just enough room for my cats to squeeze in. I leave a thermometer inside the cage to adjust the heater setting. When temps are 35 and below, I use the highest setting. Otherwise, the heater is on the second setting. The best part is the heater stays on until you turn it off or you can set it to run for several hours and it will shut off automatically. I feel safe with the safety features on the heater, especially the overheat auto shut off and if anything restricts the heat flow, it will shut off. The outside of the heater does not feel hot to the touch, only the bottom feels slightly hot. I recommend this heater for anyone with outdoor animals! Great, quality product!

Keeps my chickens warm and happy through the cold winter
I absolutely love this chicken heater! I was worried about them when the temperature started dropping but this little heater has been a game changer. It keeps them comfortably warm without getting too hot. It’s perfect for keeping my girls cozy and safe. Installation was super easy, and I really appreciate the built in safety features. It also has a built in light to simulate the sun which helps build up their calcium. It gives off gentle radiant heat instead of blasting them with hot air so I don’t have to worry so much about fire hazards. My hens are still laying eggs and seem so content!

Great quality
I got this heat lamp for my chicks and it heats up perfectly and it’s perfect because you can control the heat and the duration. So I can have it turn off automatically every so hours. But in the beginning I would have it on all the time and It also has that option.

Wanted something that kicks on/off at certain temps
I should have read the description better, but I want something that’ll kick off when it senses my outside cat house is at a certain temperature. This thing works great, but too great.

Absolute Necessity
This is a must have for anyone with reptiles. I have turtles and put this in their basking area and they’re just basking away. It has multiple features which makes it a plus. You get 3 different heat levels. The quality is also good for the size it is. Highly recommend this

Nice but not a heat lamp
I bought this for my barn cats but it’s not a heat lamp, it’s a lamp with a heater. However, I have hung it over my work at home desk and it is perfect for that!

No way to set auto-timer
I wanted to use this in my chicken coop at night and thought I could put it on an easy schedule by using one of those smart plug-ins. However every time the schedule turns the outlet off, the heater flips back to OFF mode, meaning that in order to start it again the next night, I have to go out there and manually engage. Not practical at all for what I wanted it for.

Needs a mounting bracket or a clamp at least
This is a nice little heater. I gave it as a gift to warm up a new litter of puppies, so I really don’t have a review. No mounting bracket makes it a challenge, I think. I have not heard anything adverse about it though.
