The Best Ligt for Dragons
I had a single light but it quit so I got one with a wider spread since my beardie roams around the house more than being in his tank during the day. I setup 2 heated spots for him thoughout the downstairs with logs and rocks so he just sits and sun bathes where ever he wants. He loves the feedom. I put the lights at different heights and angles so he has options. I have UVA and UVB bulbs and the timer is a life saver. My previous lamps I would forget to turn off. My husband bought me 2 more I loved it so much.

Cannot detect any UV light with test card.
Well, I guess this is going back. I really like the heat, the clamp and everything else. The turtle likes it, too. But my test card shows that there is no UV at all. It’s a new card and I tested it with other lights I have here, so I know it’s working. I even left it under the light for a full minute (when it should be 10 seconds) and the strip shows nothing. Too bad, because I liked this light a lot. Others be cautious as your reptile might not be getting the UV it needs.

Worked great until now
I loved the functionality of this little lamp.Pros:- It allowed us to direct the heat to the needed areas- Doesn’t take up much room- Great timer- Gives out a good amount of heat for its sizeUntil… About 14 months later when 2 of the 3 sockets stopped working. We even replaced the bulbs, but it’s as if they don’t get power anymore.Cons:- It stopped working…- The clamp isn’t very stong allowing for the weight of the bulbs to tip it overIn the end it’s cheap for a reason. It worked for a bit, was a great deal for the money. But it appears pretty disposable since I now have to replace it. I won’t be purchasing another one of these.

Please don’t buy this thinking your reptile is getting the proper UVB.
I absolutely love this fixture but the bulbs that come with this are only good for heat. With e26 & e27 compatible bulbs it’s an easy fix to add proper uvb. I currently have 2 of the heat bulbs that came with it in & a e26 UVB bulb I bought. I have another uvb bulb on the way. Please don’t buy this thinking your reptile is getting the proper UVB. Change out the bulbs.
