Perfect dog house heater
I chose this heater because it actually blows hot air versus a mat or other heater that uses ambient temperature. We have cold winters and 2 indoor/outdoor dogs who are not acclimated to stay outdoors 100% of the time. So I wanted them to have the option for a warm place if they so choose. It has 2 temperature options which I like so it can be used with varying outdoor temperatures. It does not have an auto feature but I believe you can buy a separate non-affiliated accessory that will kick it on once the outside temperature reaches a certain degree. It was very easy to install. During the winter, I covered the dog house and door with a thermal blanket. Occasionally, I would reach in to see how it compared to the outdoor temperature and it was very warm! Definitely warm enough for doggies with fur. We had no issues running it for days at a time. I would highly recommend.

Chicken coop warmer.
Bought for small chicken coop hen house. I like that this one is a simple on/off switch (two heat levels). Rather than relying on setting and such that might or might not come back on when the power goes out… this one is either on or off… period. I put it on an old school mechanical timer. 30 min on 30 min off during the day and then 1hr on and 30 minutes off at night. It’s kept an 8 hen house at mid-50s even on mid-20s nights. That was at level 1 power, I might have to bump it up to 2 when the colder wind and snow gets here.Recommend for simplicity to be reliably ON.

NOT chew proof
I bought this heater earlier this year, intentions were to use for a goat house. When i received it, even though it said new on the site, it was obvious the one I got was not. It was dirty, had scratches and there were even instructions in the box for an entirely different item that had nothing to do with the heater. I contacted Amazon and this was righted. We put the heater up and for the most part it worked for what we needed it for. We only used it for a few weeks until the weather got warmer. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, we took it out of the goat house and put it in an actual dog box, a very large one. We put it at the very top at the highest point and moved all wires out of the way. Within 2 days it had stopped working and we discovered that our very small puppies that couldn’t even reach the top of the box, somehow managed to chew through this chew proof heater. I notified the company of this and they just stated that it should always be placed where it can’t be reached. I’m sorry but dog boxes are only so big and ours is very large. I couldn’t possibly do it any differently and I don’t think anyone else could have either. This item is not chew proof and should not be used in a dog box if the dog is tall enough to reach it or in some way could possibly get high enough to reach it. Disappointing because I really liked its design.

I use this for my dogs crate at night since it’s in the garage. It gets the job done. Wish it put out a little more heat.

Great unless you live in a truly cold environment.
First, I’ll start with the fact that I live in Interior Alaska. This worked great for our little 4×6 chicken coop, as long as it stayed warm enough inside. I loved being able to monitor the temperature in the coop. It only goes down to 70 F. I wish it would let me set it for a lower temperature. But it kept our little coop warm enough. The challenge happened when we lost power for an extended period. The heater would not turn back on because the ambient temperature was too cold. It was -34 F outside.This presented a problem. I needed the heater to warm up the coop so I could get my heater to turn on. This heater was great. I just used canned air to clean it out monthly. Now it is useless to me. With a feature like that, I don’t intend to use it anymore.With that issue, and not being able to set a lower temperature, I can only give it 3 stars.

Works great! Super easy to set up!
Tried it first on the screened porch and it pits out a lot of heat. The room was just too big and open air. We installed it in the dog house last night. Some errors on my part learning to use it so I accidentally turned it off. Artic blast tonight so that will be the real test.Very durable. Like the cord protector. Front grill does get hot but the yellow part stays cool to touch.Super easy setting up the app. So far I really think it was a great purchase.

I bought this for a 128 square foot chicken coop. I rin it on a timer and its perfect. So far its kept my hens warm at -20 C.

Use this in our animal barn. Works well to keep the barn from below zero. Doesn’t really heat much other than keeping it from below zero, but only have one installed in a small barn.

Works great, had it heating my uninsulated work shed all winter. Can’t keep it warm on super cold days but tolerable if dressed properly for short periods

We have feral cats in our neighborhood and we do our best to give them shelter and food. We set up an area with beds, food and water (heated water bowls) and this heater. It has been a Godsend right now. Temps are dropping and they’re snuggled in staying warm.

Junk. Worked twice then quit, now it’ll turn on for 30 seconds and shut off with no warning or error. Can’t rely on it to keep my dogs house warm. Dont buy
