Excellent for covering Chihuahua puppy cast
I’m fostering a little 4.5 lb puppy who came in to the shelter with a broken leg. The rescue (Grateful Dog Rescue in San Francisco) I foster for is paying all his vet bills & he had to have his leg re-set and has a cast on it for 8 weeks. We’re on week 5 and I’ve been using these booties 1) to keep his cast clean & dry 2) to keep him from chewing his cast. I’m about to purchase for the third time. Each one lasts maybe 2 days- it’s really wet outside in the morning when I take him out so they get muddy. They are waterproof but after walking around in wet dirt after rain, The bootie is filthy. They fit perfectly over the cast and keep him from messing with it. One day I forgot to put on a new one and he chewed his cast off! Little stinker!

Don’t buy for smaller dogs
This is not small dog friendly. We have a French bulldog and they have shorter legs. No matter how hard I tried to keep it on while taking our girl outside, it would just fly off. I gave up and threw them in the trash the next day. Not at all a good design.

They served their purpose well
These were exactly what we needed when our dog had an issue with her toe that she wouldn’t stop licking. These deterred her from doing that and kept it protected. (They are disposable so it needs to be changed daily, especially if they’re going out into the grass/mud/rain). I gave it 4 stars because the self sticking tape, in fact does not stick to itself well and will come undone. I ended up using painters tape to secure it around my dog’s hind foot.

Good product
I think the product was durable and water proof. I can see value and reason to need this product in some instances.But, I think it should be more clear to not use this on open wounds, the impervious material allowed for the perfect environment for bacteria to grow causing an infection.I did keep the unused ones, incase, but I would not use on an open wound.

These Work Great for Surgery
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These are wonderful. My dog had surgery to remove a tumor from her paw. I didn’t want to use those cones around her head to keep her messing with the stitches. I put one of these on her paw and use the velcro to keep in place. I changed everyday to put on antibiotic ointment on paw. This worked really well and she didn’t mess with it. I wish there was more of the velcro. I had to purchase more at the store.
