Grippy Paw Stickers
So, my nearly 14-year-old dog had a wonky toenail on his left hind foot that started to shred and subsequently got infected. Oral antibiotics, Quadruple salve, then he needed surgery, and he didn’t want to leave it alone. Poor boy, nearly simultaneously, he developed a benign tumor in the opposite hind foot that twisted his toes, just like arthritis does.I already have dog shoes that are protective for the winter snow and salt, and also for summer hot pavement, but his foot gets no air and gets heated up inside, so I don’t want him to wear them all the time. If I use the protective dog socks I have, he licks them until they are soaked, and that is also not good. He is also a master of taking off bandages made with gauze and vet wrap. Figures, since he can do a complicated dog puzzle in about a minute…Then, I saw these stickers – they are like shoes because they are grippy, but they allow air to get to his feet. I ordered them in size XXXL – he’s a big boy – and they fit perfectly. I just apply them to the bottoms of his feet, and they stick on until they get too wet from water or snow. It’s like he doesn’t even notice they are there, so he leaves them alone.It is like a miracle – he can wear the stickers all the time because his feet get air. I am only using 2 stickers (so his back feet are “even”) so the 20 stickers in this package are like having 10 pairs.I couldn’t be more pleased. My life suddenly became so much simpler. I don’t think every dog is as adaptable as my dog is – but with patience and diligence, most dogs can get used to wearing these stickers. They are also excellent for dogs that slip on your floors. The grippy stickers keep them from falling.**** I would also like to compliment Dapaw customer service. I sent a product question through to them, and they answered me quickly and with patience and kindness. With people like this working for the company, I am happy to say they deserve 10 stars!! May work for some dogs, but not mine
I really wanted these dog paw traction stickers to work, but they were a huge letdown. My dog absolutely hates wearing shoes, so I was hoping these would be an easier solution—especially since she has cerebral hyperplasia and really needs better traction on our new wood floors.Unfortunately, the stickers didn’t stick to her paws, even on the first try. I even gave her a little “puppy pedicure” to make sure her paws were clean and trimmed, but they still wouldn’t stay on. They did basically nothing to help with her slipping and sliding and fell off almost right away. Maybe they work for some dogs, but they didn’t work at all for us. Wouldn’t purchase again.

Stay on as well as the pads I’ve been using
I’ve been using similar paw pads for a few months now so I was happy to try these out. Our vet recommended this type of pad to improve our senior dog’s grip on our slippery floors. It isn’t easy for us to put them on her because our dog doesn’t like us messing with her paws, but once they are on she doesn’t seem to know that they are there. She doesn’t lick or chew at them at all – which is not the case with socks and boots.They need to be put on to clean and dry paw pads. Depending on how well I accomplish that and how wet it is outside, I’m happy if they last about 2 days before they start to fall off. Our dog mostly needs them on her back paws, so we try to keep them covered and only replace the fronts when conditions are more ideal. Although they often tend to start only partially coming off, our dog doesn’t even seem to mind when they are flopping around half off of her paw. We typically wait until they completely fall off before we replace them.My only issue with these Dapaw pads is that each paw pad is individually die-cut close to the material so it is difficult to get the backing off of them. The ones we’ve been using come 4 on a sheet and it is relatively easy to bend the sheet and peel them off. I can’t get the backing off of these without using a thin blade and even then it isn’t easy.I also wonder if the fabric on these pads is a little thinner and/or more flexible because I have to be much more careful not to let them get stuck to themselves between when I remove the backing and get them on her paws. I had to toss one out while putting on the first four and I’ve had to unstick them from themselves a bit when applying them since then. Still, it seems like these might be staying on longer than the ones we’ve been using. The cleanliness of the paw pads and getting good placement seem to have the biggest effect on longevity though, so it is hard to tell if they really stick better.

My dog didn’t want me to remove them
My 12yo husky mix has hair that grows between his toes, and he doesn’t let me cut it or use a paw conditioner, but he was curious about these grippy paw pads and seemed quite happy to regain some grip without needing a throw rug.They are subtle in appearance and the the reaction of my dog helped me feel comfortable (and likewise him) in using the pads. You can cut them if you want each paw pad to fit on each part, or leave it as it. I leave it as is because it keeps the hair contained.They protect all day and depending on your dog, easy to apply. I’ve tried shoes on my dog in the past and he doesn’t get over the funny walk, and often kicks them off. My only negative is that I wish they came in larger quantities!

I followed the instructions to the letter. Half of them were of by the next morning. Day 2, they are all off.
